Amen

"Woke" -- changing norms through social pressure -- is not, contra the reactionary centrists, another form of tyranny. It's the *alternative* to tyranny. It's new norms winning through the marketplace of ideas. The alternative is what we see now: enforcing norms via the threat of state violence.

Amazing show at the Anthem D.C. last night. Thank you spuds!

It’s cool that a lot of people’s pensions and retirements are dependent on the fucking bullshit stock market that is having panic attacks everyday. And people really think this is the best way we can organize an economy.

The market isn’t an efficient knowledge machine. It’s a collection of coked up bros that get bonuses when they win and commit suicide when they lose.

I hope everyone is having a great day. 💚 #Happy4/20

For many years I have listened to this song and imagined our life in a hostile landscape. That future is here. youtu.be/2tCHeY60nn8?...

‘WITNESS ME’

Honestly I just hate how angry I am these days. It's totally justifiable--these people are fucking monsters (and I'm certainly not policing anyone else's anger). But I hate it, I hate that feeling. I've spent so much of my life trying to get rid of anger. It's awful to be living with it again.

man if only we could have known that electing one of the dumbest, meanest and most corrupt motherfuckers in American history A SECOND TIME would end badly

Neoliberals and moderates see fascism through the same false lens as they do climate change. That it is a personal issue to correct individually not an outflow of a systemic problem that is ultimately a product of American culture of capital and colonialism that must be addressed systematically.

Why bother mentioning that Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner "didn't say a word" before killing VanOwen?

Happy Friday, everyone!

Post you from a different era

Watched Monty Python & the Holy Grail tonight. Remembered my dad took me to see it with him in the theater and cried laughing at the moose credits. Nothing had ever been made like this movie before. It’s still great even after seeing it dozens of times.
