Look at my #poppies! I love how they are constantly being explored by bees searching for pollen. Also, the backyard is almost done with the grass/weed removal and dirt leveling. The next step is for us to reset the garden beds and begin filling them with plants to cultivate. I'm so excited! 😝

This dandelion seedhead looked neat this past morning, so I am sharing it with you all. I've been cultivating this crop for six months to consume the greens in salads and mix them into my hot meals or smoothies. It's been a quick and easy crop to grow and easy to get greens in me.

I went to get breakfast with my boyfriend, and I swear I felt like Snow White. Birds were hopping and chirping all around us, and a few even landed on our table and watched us eat. I loved it. I wanted to share this bird because I thought it was cool how strangely it was nested in the tree.

What an exciting yet sad day it was to reach this point. I am removing the garden to level out the ground, redoing the layout of the garden beds for maximum food production, and incorporating stepping stones surrounded by native ground covers for biodiversity. And I got a good harvest today!

Throwback to when I harvested my second batch of #luffa. Since then, I've harvested an additional 50 luffah. I am #grateful to have grown these to use as sponges. However, I have too many, so I sewed goodie bags to gift these luffas with homemade soaps, body lotion bars, and body scrub. #gardening

An unruly Aeonium “sunburst’ muscling its way between an Agave desmetiana ‘Smooth Agave’ and Mangave 'Red Wing' PP31,459. The Aeonium and Mangave are zone 9b, the Agave 10a. In a sunnier exposure this Aeonium has more distinctive coloring, brighter yellows and a thin reddish leaf edge. 🌱 #succulents

One of the Hybrid Aloes that arrived yesterday. I singled this one out because it’s very compact (makes the tiny stones look big 😆), the color is intense (almost like it’s burning), and the texture is crazy (look at those teeth!!). Definitely a wonderful addition to my collection. 🌱🪴
