Keep coming back to Van Dijk’s insistence that Hansen present the trophy at Anfield & then the respect he showed him afterwards. Always important to have people representing the club & city that “get it” & VVD is a shining example of that.

No good transfer window without plane tracking Reds. #Wirtz

So relieved everyone involved in yesterday’s incident looks set to make a full recovery.

They were right to do it too, though it says a huge amount about where we are as a country atm that it was deemed necessary. So many bad actors looking to spread hate & division.

🤞🏽those with injuries from today’s incident have full recoveries. Inspired but unsurprised by the warmth & generosity folks in the city have offered to stranded fans & those in need. It’s what Liverpool’s about.

Was based on Water Street all afternoon watching the parade, must have left about 5-10 minutes before those horrible scenes. Hope everyone involved is ok.

I assumed Palace would have checked out today. But they have the buzz from last weekend whereas Liverpool took care of business a month ago. Palace are also a bloody good team. Up it a bit, please, Reds.

It’s Ibou’s birthday today? What a treat that bloke is in for.

The biggest surprise of the season. Glad to have been categorically wrong on this lad. He deserves this recognition for stepping into the fray in possibly the most challenging position on the pitch, and excelling beyond all our expectations.

Not at all surprised to hear Jurgen defending Trent & expressing disappointment at the fans’ reaction. It’s very much in keeping with his character. Not sure even he should be telling fans how to feel though.

Honestly so delighted he’ll be with us in Liverpool this weekend

Ornstein braiding about Wirtz’s preference for LFC is it? 👀👀

Maybe I should have emphasised the “these games don’t matter” point

Null and void imo what a disgrace

These games don’t matter but oh how they’ve exposed the supposed strength in depth of this LFC squad. It’ll get additions & benefit from them too.

Almost should’ve had it disallowed for that celebration though. Good grief

Salah will be so annoyed about that miss too 😂

Gorgeous work from Dom & the half hearted Reds at the seaside

Got a little lucky with that penalty claim, a gorgeous efficient move for Elliott’s goal though. The records keep tumbling for this supposedly untested LFC side

Essential we get that Chiesa song booming all game long, irrespective of the seriousness of this performance

Riding the “both sideism” wagon straight off of the cliff into conspiracy land.

That Wirtz statement from City seems like a case of a club getting their story straight after a player rejects them. I’d be stunned if the quoted figures are accurate

That’s what it’s all about

At this point, we have a hard right party in government under the guise of Labour, without question. These wankers are worse than Reform, because at least with Reform, they aren’t pretending to be anything they’re not. This Blue Labour is not the Labour Party. It’s a destructive force.

So, following on from going after pensioners with taking away their Winter Fuel Allowance, then going after the disabled with massive cuts to PIP & other benefits, Blue Labour is now targeting the people who keep the wheels turning in the lowest paid jobs in the country who care for our elderly.

Tried to articulate myself as best as I could on the Trent reaction after yesterday’s game

100% football is petty, it's kind of the point. The most important unimportant thing. You don't get the scenes of two weeks ago without the emotional investment that leads to yesterday.

Good heart from Arsenal in the second half, when the Reds decided to stopped running. Trent coming on was a distraction for everyone & one Slot’s first genuine mistakes this season imo. LFC nearly won it at the death but Konate gave in to the desire to clothesline Lewis-Skelly to the floor😅

Not sure what on earth folks expected with Trent. The way he’s engineered his exit always left him open to this sort of emotional reaction. Wouldn’t pay too much heed to lectures/moralising from rival fans around what’s appropriate or not. A distraction no one needs.

Expecting quite a few pointed renditions of Gerrard’s song, as well Bradley’s from the Anfield crowd
