Sorting out old art folders from uni. I used to love painting pictures of trees. I found it relaxing, and amongst the grey of the city it felt good to surround myself in painted memories of woodlands and open fields. Maybe I should do this again what with the city still being so grey.

bunny for a sunny day. finger painting on my laptop trackpad. low tech sketcher is me. still a cave girl at art.

Neon Angel. Comic book cover mock-up created with the draw app in Canva using a laptop trackpad. It is a really basic app with pen, marker and highlighter but it suits how I work. #associationofillustrators #comicbookartist #handdrawn #originalart

The Severn Sea shines silver in Springtime. This was taken two years ago at Whitmore Bay, South Wales in very changeable (read typical) weather conditions. The beach was almost empty and the West Country was obscured by the low cloud cover. #liminalspaces#photography#coastal#seascapes

mirror mirror on the wall, who is the most fiendish one of all? both sitters were mostly well behaved and stayed in their designated dimensions. track-pad created illustration is the finger painting of the modern age. #gothicart#fairytalegothic#illustrationartist#welshartist

Georgia Update 9:30 PM Tbilisi: Rustaveli is packed!

Blood red and purple arts. Vampire portrait. Hand drawn/finger drawn on a laptop touchpad, using a basic drawing app. The sitter was very patient and didn't bite me. #illustrationartist#originalart#welshartist#gothicpunk

Shwmae Awyr las! It's Bunnyday Sunday. The Welsh word for rabbit is cwningen. ( pronounced coo-ning-en). My vocabulary for my native tongue is slowly expanding, and I am enjoying how illustration is aiding my learning. #illustrationartist #welshlanguage#learnsomethingnew

Bunnyday Sunday. Cuteness personified.

I started sketching some little drawings to help me remember the Welsh words for critters. Last week, in a moment of hope and insanity I stuck some of them on Redbubble. Gwdihw is prounced goo-dee-who and is the very cute Welsh word for owl. #illustrationartist #welshlangauge#owls

bookshelf cat. he guards our words.

A scene from an April morning of some yesterdays ago. My world is a lot smaller these days and I miss the bay. I can hear a gull outside my window as I post this. Maybe they approve.

Bunny Day Sunday.

Life is a cabaret, blue angel.

When you want to make a living from being an illustrator but fear you are not artful enough to succeed. I sketch a little. I post things here and there....and here. I dream of better days. I have another coffee and create another drawing, maybe write a little. I dream.

monday sketch. dead red and purple arts.

Bunnyday Sunday. This is Bannog. I am his human.

These days I am immersed in creating mouse pad sketches. No paint or paper just a laptop and very basic drawing app. It is less complex to use than a pro set up but I find it more fulfilling to create with. My focus has been on cats and others who have made us their pets. A portfolio is in progress

Last year I completed a short course in illustration. I find the structure of learning a comfort without which I sometimes flounder. Today I found one of those classroom pieces. A painted sketch of red poppies. It is far removed from what I have created of late. Maybe I should paint more flowers...
