I don't think I have seen the river so calm for a whole day. I took Timelapse videos at three different times.#Riversocalm #NaturePhotography

Had a quick visit to the feeder this morning of this #Red Breasted #Grosbeak and I was lucky a camera was close. Handsome lad. #NaturePhotography

Who says it's too early for a swim. Taken this evening at the #Aylmer #Marina. Such a popular place on an evening like tonight.

The river has truly come alive at 6:12 this evening. A couple with the white skin of winter and three very cute #kids came up river and in close here to do some #fishing. I have not even got a sailboat under sail up here yet. I hope they took home some fish.#Ottawa #Pontiac

I didn't feel like leaving my Happy Place to photograph the sunset this evening, so just did it from here.

Today I managed to photograph a House #Wren bringing a bird feather back to his house to #Feather His Nest. I have done many photos of the House Wrens, but never one bringing a feather for his nest.#NaturePhotography

Two nights ago at 8:20 pm my #trail cam alerted me something was on the move. I went to the window to see a #Racoon getting stuck in to the cracked corn. I tapped on the window and he raised his head with his nose all covered in corn. Then I waved at him and he was gone.#Nature

A lovely end to a beautiful day. What will tomorrow bring?

This was the top #Tom strutting his stuff at. #MudLake a couple of days ago. Quite a character.#Turkey #NaturePhotography

My first visit by Humming birds today. Look forward to more.

A Great #Blue Heron from this mornings visit to the #Fletcher Gardens. Not standing in the water fishing, rather 75 ft up in a tree mainly preening. #NaturePhotography

Took these beautiful #Cherry Blossoms yesterday at #MudLake too.

A few of the more difficult #Warbler type birds I managed to get something of yesterday at #MudLake. Tricky little birds that never stop moving. Click on the bird for an identification.

I took so many images today at #MudLake with 2 friends/ it will be awhile before I can post the interesting ones. I will post this one though of a bird I have not seen before let along photograph. It is a #BlackCrownedNightHeron. What a treat it was. #NaturePhptography

Early this morning a small band of #fog came up the river with spots one could see through. I found it very attractive and unusual.

#TimeMachine for this time over the years. #1 2015 #Paulene and #Sophie on the swing #2 2020 Bald #Eagle out front being pestered #3 2021 Juvenile Bald Eagle out front.#4 2021 On the other end of the bird scale, a wee house #wren trying to take a big stick into its little house. #Nature

A couple of days ago I set up a new #Trail camera and while out and about it sent me a message that someone was visiting. What a nice visitor too. #deer #NaturePhotography

Lovely #sunset at the #Aylmer #Marina this evening. No wonder it's so popular in the evenings.#NaturePhotography

Went down to the big construction site in Aylmer this morning and did a 1/ hour TimeLapse. Unless I can get special permission to continue, this might be the last update.😕

It was a Reddy #Fox kind of morning. I saw it moving around the property, then it found a place to sit down and get all tidied up. Then what do you know but it takes a good comfortable nap in the sun. Then up it sits looking all fresh. This took place over an hour. What a treat!

Coming back from a family gathering in the #Bristol Mines area I stopped to get this shot showing a favourite view of the #Ottawa River. Favourite because it's a view everyone who travelled up the river in the past would have seen, and knew around that corner lay a new world.

Here are the two Turkey shots from yesterday that I promised to post. 1st is it wandering around the property around noon and the 2nd taken after 8pm way up a tree down by the river, 75 to 100ft above the ground.

You know it's a good day when even the #rocks are smiling at you. #NaturePhotography

Today's fun.

As I was working in the kitchen this evening at 7:15, these two #deer came out of the bush next door onto my property and I was able to get this shot through the windows. I was hoping for more but the deck door was open and they probably heard the sounds from inside the house.

After a crazy afternoon of #storms, the #sunset was quite nice. I didn't have time to get home to a camera so just grabbed this shot with my phone.

#TimeLapse of a storm coming across the #Ottawa river this afternoon. In the first few seconds you can see some lightning and part way through, you can see where I opened the window to squeegee the water away, (the wind quite strong) then it all became super calm.

Went down to #Aylmer to do an update on the #construction at 45.406904° -75.863251° (for those who want to know exactly where it is.) I was hoping to do a TimeLapse of all the activity in the hole but it started to rain. Another time for that. Enjoy the evening.

#TimeMachine for today #1 2016 Arguments at the #bird feeder.#2 2017 #Sunset at the river #3 2018 A #Merlin Falcon casing the area. #4 2023 A poor moulting Red #Fox

The other nice thing that greeted me on waking was the lovely calm #Ottawa River. This was before 7. Notice the #geese are already moving too. #NaturePhotography

Fun this morning as a youngish female #deer came back for a visit just before 7, this time coming right up to the #feeders to check things out. They are always aware of sounds sometimes, standing rock still and ears up and listening for danger.#NaturePhotography

TimeMachine for this date over time. #1 2014 a pano of our house looking towards river.#2 2020 Sophie pointing groundhogs again.#3 Sophie and Stella, the best two dogs. #4 A dove waiting patiently.

What a treat to get these #Cedar Waxwings right here in my yard yesterday. Such beautiful birds.#birds #NaturePhotography

Stopped at #Mud Lake when in #Ottawa today and witnessed this bully #Mallard duck almost crashing into this #Wood duck as it was landing, and I could tell he was doing it on purpose, Next two shots show the Wood duck trying to regain its composure. #NaturePhotography
