No money for Medicaid or SNAP or museums or schools or sidewalks or gun violence prevention or art or libraries. Always money for war.

If you were too young in 2003 here is what Bush told the American people: 1) The Iraq War won’t cost a lot of money 3) We won’t need a lot of troops 4) We’ll bring peace and freedom to Iraq 5) We’ll find WMDs 6) We’ll be welcomed as liberators 7) It will be easy 8) It won’t take long All lies.

political press is doing a real disservice by basically not reporting the nuances of public opinion on deportations, and creating the appearance that most americans support the stephen miller-style gestapo tactics

A reminder to reporters, when historians look back on this moment with the president throwing himself a military parade and the people throwing No Kings rallies across America, the media sources raving about the former and sneering at the latter are going to be quoted by name. This is your legacy!

Since Trump took office: Dow: DOWN 13.8% Nasdaq: DOWN 20.5% S&P: DOWN 15.5%

Kind, decent, and compassionate, Pope Francis was badly out of step with contemporary western culture.

This! 100%

Sometimes it took a little longer. Trump got right to it

Elon takes a beating. It’s a bright spot. www.mediaite.com/news/tesla-d...

On April 2nd, 4 US Army Soldiers died in a training accident in Lithuania. 🕊️ The Lithuania Govt. showed more respect than our own govt Staff Sgt. Knutson-Collins, 28, Michigan Sgt. Duenez Jr., 25, Illinois Sgt. Franco, 25, California. Pfc. Taitano, 21, Guam. Much Respect 🙏🏻 🇺🇸 #SheShed

Ask that question again and again and again!

I'm no good with patterns. Can someone help me out here?

Yes. And when are republicans, this is really on them, going to do anything about it?

As has been stated quite a few times, Republicans could shut this down at any time if they wanted to…

22 weeks apart.

The most obvious lesson to draw from the leaked Signal chat is that these people really are morons. It's not a public act, it's not a schtick, there's not some secret back room where they drop the facade. They are genuinely stupid, incompetent people.

“Elon has to go. The CNN poll is basically right. Our numbers are sinking. The boss is down to 45 percent approval and Elon’s at 35 percent. He’s killing us. Thirty percent of our own supporters don’t like him. Anyway, Elon’s our problem, not the Democrats.” www.thebulwark.com/p/plot-again...

Schumer’s decision is an unconscionable surrender that shows he does not have what it takes to meet this moment, and the charade he pulled yesterday makes it even worse. Time for new leadership in the Democratic Party.

I think some in the Senate have convinced themselves that the backlash to folding will be limited to “the left” and therefore ignorable. Those people are deeply and profoundly misreading the moment and the stakes. Virtually every swing district House Dem walked the plank to vote NO for a reason.

"When faced with two awful choices, pick the one that requires less courage." - The Art of Losing, by Chuck Schumer

I would support this! We need to primary the dinosaurs.
