Update: The editor has removed the quote, and claimed that the journalist had "had interpreted [my] writings on LLMs and the "stochastic parrots” metaphor too freely into a quote." ... and then had the audacity to ask me for a real quote to include in that article.

I've now seen a second instance of a quote attributed to me in a news paper I've never heard of (and certainly was not interviewed for). In general, if the quote includes the phrase 'AI' with no scare quotes or other distance, that's a good sign it's not real.

This. Be it music, books, YT vids, etc- As soon as someone crosses the line to „save time and money“ on the cover, they inevitably will use AI in other places as well. It will spread through the entire thing like mold. Hence: If the cover is AI, so is the rest. Throw it in the trash. 🚮

To be clear, mere hours - maybe even less - after saying Sora was out OpenAI stopped accepting new account registrations with no clear timeline. OpenAI bait and switched the entire tech media. There's no way this company can afford to have their video generator available to the public. Swindled!

I keep seeing people applauding this but it is just factually incorrect to say this. Casey was a web3 booster. He said very similar things about crypto critics as he does with AI critics. He unquestioningly accepted the metaverse too! He has a terrible bullshit meter. I'm so tired of this
