Most (many?) voters fall for the argument that successful business people would be best at running the government. This is utter nonsense, as anyone who has worked in government knows. First, no one "runs" a government. The Constitution was structured against that very result.

A thought: I expect that there are enough lawyers willing to commit time and effort to resisting what will likely be a spate of DJT-provoked lawsuits. Now that ABC has caved, he has stated his intention to go after Selzer and others via defamation suits.

I was watching a C-Span broadcast (of a UVA seminar) focusing on the 50th anniversary of Gerald Ford's assumption of the Presidency following Nixon's resignation. I commend it to you. It almost made me weep to think how far we have descended!
