One of my favorite things Fig does has to be busting the bathroom door open so that he can be involved, but going to lay in our bed afterwards instead of coming in. The fella in question:

Recession indicator: a podcast ad where the ad reader mentions that this site is great for shopping, but that they haven't bought anything yet. Relatable, honestly.

Me drinking a "healthy" soda: "This would be much improved with about 20 more grams of sugar."

Stepped outside, breathed in once, sneezed twice. How's spring going for everyone else?

My morning routine currently consists of downloading all of the worst world news to my brain and then sitting at my desk for 8 hours pretending that typing and clicking buttons matters.

Skipping the crowds at the UW Quad this year and finding one-off cherry blossom moments on our own. 🌸

Sometimes in this fast-moving and complex modern world, it’s hard to know what’s right and what’s wrong. But here’s a handy rule of thumb: If you are ever on one side of an issue, and Sesame Street is on the other, YOU’RE the bad guy.

Was going to wait a month or two before cluttering up our house with baby items (we've been slowly buying things to spread out the expenses) but then my husband made the point that I should buy now before all the prices rise from tariffs. Just another way this admin dictates how we live I guess. 😒

"Split Fiction" was the couch co-op distraction we needed. These little vignettes are wild.

I'm so glad that several years ago when we considered getting a Tesla that we decided to just stick with running our two Hyundais into the ground.

It's a unique sadness to feel safe and content in your immediate bubble while it feels like the world is burning around it.

This is such a loss. I spent so much time here with my mom growing up, picking out fabrics for her sewing projects, and now as an adult selecting yarn combos for my fiber crafting. The end of an era in an era of many endings.

This feels so relevant right now.

It is perfectly legal to know your rights and to educate others about them, too. EVERYONE in the United States, citizen or not, has rights. I will not allow this administration to intimidate us from helping you know about them. Here’s our shareable guide ⬇️: (pt. 1/2)

Realized that without even thinking about it, when I look up public health information now I also cross-ref the CDC site with other sites from different countries JUST IN CASE. It's honestly sad.

I am no longer accepting the argument "there are bigger problems than this!" unless you are personally working to stop the ultimate Heat Death of the Universe.

Having to work at home while sick already sucks, how did we used to also come in while sniffling, sipping DayQuil, and trying to suppress coughing?

Yesterday (the day before the Superbowl) I survived Costco, Trader Joe's, and Fred Meyer. AMA.

Do one thing every day that scares you. Me: **reads the news**

Whoever designs those sinks that are so shallow your hands touch the bottom while you wash them deserves jail time.

Nothing like getting a little blood work done to make you wish Theranos hadn't been a con.

Years of baking for my vegan family members have prepared me to survive in a world with unaffordable eggs.

If MAHA wants me to stop eating mozzarella sticks, maybe they should stop doing awful shit that makes me want to eat four times the mozzarella sticks for comfort.

Serious question: where should we get infectious disease and health information from in the US if the federal government is suppressing it? Does it happen at a state level? Do we need to lean on information from other countries (which will be less applicable/proximate)?

A lot of Married at First Sight drama could have be prevented if some of these people sought therapy instead of trying to fix themselves through a spouse.

"awww he likes that theres dogs on the tv" ..you like it when theres people on the tv idk why youre gettign so condescending abt it

Reading to distract myself today and, wow, I don't think any book has ever made me sob the way the "City of Laughter" chapter in Sequoia Nagamatsu's "How High We Go In The Dark" did.
