While every other country held out, knowing that Trump was desperate, Starmer and the UK, reflecting the decline of the country and Starmer's own ineptitude, conceded. While Starmer thinks this will help him politically, ironically, it is his very embrace of Trump and his capitulation here that

Trump, to his credit, has successfully anchored everyone, so that a total capitulation by the UK, when the US were actually desperate, is being sold by people as some sort of success.

Two leaders desperate for a deal, but Trump and co completely owned the UK

This is it. Even many moderate Americans think Trump is right, he’s just being a bit overly aggressive.

Not much focus on the fact, that despite all the bravado, Art of the Deal, "i can stop the war in one day", Trumps promises of peace in the Middle East and Ukraine have utterly failed. In fact, I would say his policies have decreased the likelihood of peace.

The Trump-Supreme Court battle is not really the crisis. The crisis is here now. Trump is enacting an insidious coordinated attack on our institutions of democratic accountability, designed to crater democracy before next fall. 1/ A long 🧵to explain the plan & how we stop it.

It makes no sense for China to devalue. How much would they have to devalue to adjust for 145% tariffs? And Trump could just increase the tariffs. And it would kill domestic demand and confidence, which is exactly what they don’t want to do. They’re also not scared of the US.

Reminder Trump’s new tariffs apply to every country in the Earth. But Russia. Russia got an exemption

obscene lying from Stephen Miller on Fox News as he claims the economy was in "depression" thanks to Biden when Trump took office (the American economy was in fact the envy of the world three months ago ... )

Blimey. One of Nigel Farage's biggest donors, and the owner of 55 Tufton Street, is helping the Russian military effort www.nytimes.com/2025/03/28/w...

I decided to start a #thread 🧵 of stories about legal residents and tourists being (illegally) arrested, detained and/or deported by the Trump regime. I'll only post stories from serious sources, as rumors and conspiracies are really not needed in this authoritarian moment.

SCOOP --> Trump's State Department quietly terminated a contract that was in the process of transferring evidence of Russian abductions of Ukrainian kids to European law enforcement, two sources familiar with the situation tell me. Details here: newrepublic.com/article/1927...

A young lady originally from Whitehorse is being detained in a detention center in Arizona. She was detained March 3rd, after her visa was denied. Facebook post from her Mom is in the pics below. It's a disturbing sequence of events. Do not travel to the US.

A second German tourist is being held in a detention centre after having her Visa revoked by the U.S. It’s the same detention centre holding Jessica Brösche, the German tattoo artist who spent 8 days in solitary. She’s been held for 6 weeks. The U.S. is not a safe place to travel anymore
