An ever so light smoke on the water:)

Remote control.

the President of the United States, everyone

The kind of sunrise one can only see on the flanks of Mordor or when luckily getting the heights of Gran Canaria’s Roque Nublo to oneself:)

My favourite brooding queen of the north Highlands:)

Northern lights off the far north coast of the Scottish Highlands just now:)

Actual capture of the stunning display at Puy du Fou:)

The liquid light of the Great Glen and languid curves of Carn Standing’s amazing Nessie by Dores beach.

The plunging vista of Milford sound seen on a day when it could be seen!

Strathcarron in the northwest highlands putting on its own demure version of a fireworks display:)

The otherworldly paradise of Sete Cidades, a verdant landscape and township astride the shores of the mesmerising Lagoa Azul, where a thousand souls live within the 5km wide contours of a volcanic crater, Azores. #landscape #photography #wanderlust

The kind of otherworldly light in which the Southern Alps of NZ is well stocked:)

The perspective-warping architectural landscape of Valencia’s grand experiment, reinventing it’s modern cultural quarter light and water and impossible curves stretching into the sky.

Happy Easter folks:)

Sunset over the village fishing flotilla gathered in the ancient Roman harbour of Sanitja on the wild north coast of Menorca:)

Mighty volcanic tower of Pico in the utterly spellbinding Atlantic archipelago of the Azores.

We are nearing the end.

The view from inside one of dozens of hidden sea caves up and down the coast of the Scottish Highlands. The light and reflections inside these wee cathedrals are just stunning:)

The "Tank Man" photo from the day of the Tiananmen Square massacre in 1989 uncropped. We could sure as hell use some of his courage right now in America.

Siesta face in its purest form. I confess to being jealous.

Jersey’s fortress defender Elizabeth Castle looking proper daunting:)

Chasten and I are relieved that Governor Shapiro and his family are safe. While we wait to learn more, this much is clear: the targeting of a public official and his family - especially a prominent Jewish official on a major Jewish holiday - is unconscionable and has no place in our country.

Not far off highland caber erection and tossing season…a long standing tradition celebrating the public display of both physical strength and targeted projectile forestry management.

Horse and history and headlands in the wild Pembrokeshire coastline:)

Close encounters of the Highland Heron kind. Love how these guys just always know where to stand and how to pose without the slightest bit of coaching…

Chrystal waters and air you could slice with a knife. Secluded highland glen giving up its winter secrets:)

Ohh "America First" was a hit list

Sometimes the view as you turn a corner in a remote glen can be almost overwhelming in its richness right out to the horizon… #highlands #photography #landscape

The ultra photogenic Needles off the south coast with sunset bleeding the chalk as much as the sky.

Secret coves and caves of the Scottish coastline:)

Super super chuffed to get these three captured shortlisted by the lovely folks at Scottish Nature Photography Awards. Mega congrats to Nicki Gwynn-Jones for their gorgeous image rightly taking out the main title! #photography #scotland

Pembrokeshire at its blue sky best:) Springtime colours of the western fringes of the cymru coast. #travel #beach #photography

Hard not to hear the waves and feel the wind. A fortunate capture of angled light at the right moment off the coast of Guernsey:) #horizons #hope #landscape

Harlech Castle staring down any would be challengers at dusk.

If you get into Merlin’s cave on a good day with good light and not a breath of wind…this:)

Posting this gorgeous poppy just now as I’m conscious that by November time if the mango Mussolini keeps up his attacks on free folk everywhere, we might not be just ā€˜remembering’ the world wars…

The scratchings into the distant future of ancient Nabatea. Utterly spellbinding time capsule to come across in the midst of the dunes and dust swept horizons.

The kind of morning light that freezes the frame and photographer alike!

Sometimes hard to believe these wee places are real. Lochindorb castle floating in a mirrored sky of azure highland light. #castles #skycam #landscape

A hidden away space in a hidden away place. Sunrise beams born on a winter mist steal into the tumbled church long ago humbled by time and ivy. #magic #landscape #photography #highlands #scotland

The Omphalos or world’s navel at Delphi An incredible sense of ā€˜place’ permeates every stone and line of light casting through them.

The spoilt for choice #landscape #photography smorgasbord that is a Highland vista. Pick a subject and go for it or be the glutton and try to layer them all end to end…

Wadi Rum giving good summary of why it has hosted half of cinema’s attempts to film Mars or Saladin or a questing Optimus Prime…
