If you’re open to acting as a local host for the 2026 HiTOP Conference, please get in touch with @miriforbes.bsky.social. We’re looking for inexpensive options (e.g., university spaces, rather than hotels) so very open to ideas or suggestions if you’ve had experience organising this kind of event!

Just remember. @hitop-system.bsky.social is a greasroots consortium cum society with vastly fewer resources than APA throws at DSM (and presumably similar for IDC). Most of the work's been done FOR FREE (in kind).

*New preprint* on ND and co-occurring mental health problems from my lab, led by Chiara Caserini! Using longitudinal data from ABCD we asked: What drives poor mental health outcomes in children with high ND traits? Here's brief summary 🧠🌳🏡 www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1.... 1/n

Please consider helping @kathleenwreardon.bsky.social with this project—and sharing it widely—to improve how we approach teaching HiTOP for a variety of groups and end users csufull.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_...

This handy resource by @caroballing.bsky.social helps translate between the dimensions of the five factor model (Big Five) of personality, the DSM alternative model of personality disorders, the ICD-11 classification of personality disorders, the HiTOP spectra, and the RDoC negative valence domain 📌

Great letter. Thank you HiTOP 🙏🏽

Some of our members have submitted a letter to Meta protesting their revised policy on hateful conduct that now allows allegations of mental illness on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity You can read the letter and list of signatories here: www.hitop-system.org/letter-to-meta 1/2

Also, if you're at HiTOP or SPA, check out my student Anthony's flash talk on the newest project he's working on examining the longitudinal co-variation of alcohol use problems and disinhibited externalizing in a sample of gay and bisexual men.

A very colorful preliminary program for the HiTOP 2025 Conference is now available: www.hitop-system.org/hitop-2025-c...

The science must go on: In an analysis of AddHealth data (N~4,400), Brooke Sasia of University of Wisconsin-Madison shows genetic risk for externalizing (EXT PGS) predicts the course of antisocial behavior and substance use. 1/4 🧬🧪#PsychSciSky
