Feel like the semantics of who is ICE & who is a "subsidiary" is a distraction It's real simple: there were tanks/troops in our streets, residents were scared, & *some* local leaders were on the scene trying to deescalate/assist folks The one leader who wasn't there -- once again! -- was the mayor

The Minneapolis mayoral election seems pretty simple to me. You get to rank three candidates. Rank the three who showed up for Minneapolis today. Do not rank the one already in charge of the complicit police department.

I am at Bloomington and Lake to understand whats taking place this morning. On scene are DHS, ICE, FBI, Sheriffs, and MPD. No matter the reason, one thing is clear: this display of force is designed to strike fear at the very heart of MPLS. We stand in solidarity against it.

You know what's nice? Bryant Ave South This kind of bike traffic did not happen on this street pre-bikeway (when it was a 2 way street w/ parking on both sides). If you build it, they will come. And we all benefit (including drivers) when more folks bike for more trips.

The police high-speed chased a (stolen) car into our yard (we are fine). The drivers abandoned the car running. Husband went out to ask the officer if the car could be turned off, afraid it could ignite Officer’s response to my husband? “Vote differently.” I just. I cannot.

“A senior citizen took an e-bike on a cruise from Lyndale neighborhood to Minnehaha Falls without worrying about being too tired to bike the 5 miles back. A veteran took her service dogs on joyrides. A cyclist took a disabled friend on treks into parks and trails they couldn’t have reached by car.”
