Familiar pattern: ~Evil firefighter sets fire to put it out, be a hero. ~Deceitful leader trashes biz reputation to fix it, be a hero. ~Trump claims "the swamp" created "American carnage," wins in 2016. Now w/ fewer deportations than Biden, puny parade, budget bill delay, he needs a win. Worrisome.

Always enjoyed words and their origins, history in general, the legacies of US presidents. Can't help feeling 100s of years from now people will claim the term "trumped up," meaning intentionally deceptive, was based on the career of Donald J. Trump. Untrue, but fitting. It's really MUCH older:
