Happy #NoKingsDay to those that will be celebrating. May your day be filled with American flags, large communities of peaceful human beings, and hope for a better future. www.nokings.org

It is so hard to even view social media, much less the news these days. Politically, we are so divided, so angry, and so uninformed in a sea of misinformation. Sadly, I may have joined many of the masses in disengaging. I guess hoping to one day wake up and the world is a better, kinder place.

Anti-fascist action is a balm for the soul. Well over 1,000 marching to the town square in Fayetteville, Arkansas!

Everyday since the orange man took office feels like April fools day. The news today doesn’t feel different.

So How do we expect this whole orange tyrant thing is going to end? Seems project 2025 has gutted all checks and balances.

Just a few messages written on the walking path around Lake Fayetteville in NW Arkansas. People have things to say.

How does one celebrate Presidents’ Day when the orange buffoon is in office? Asking for a friend.

I’m excited about the #Superbowl. Except that the orange clown is present. One can hope the camera will catch him stumbling, picking his nose, or doing something else completely normal for him. #embrassed

@georgetakei.bsky.social Just toured the WW2 museum in New Orleans. Thank you for your video and I’m so sorry our country did this to you and your family. I can’t believe it seems history is repeating itself with our orange leader.

Us: And here’s a tariff for you because you did something I didn’t like Them: Oh no you didn’t, I’ll tariff you back. Us: I’ll double our tariffs. ( this is all so childish. I’m embarrassed)

They took away affirmative action, DEI, the equal employment opportunity act, and told you it’s to center merit. Some of you actually believe you’ll finally be able to prove your worth without these things. Newsflash: it was never about merit, they just don’t want you in their spaces lol

This is the most appropriate quote for today. #mlk

On the eve of the orange felons “welcome back to power” day, I find myself so saddened for our country, for our relationships with our allies, and all those in our country who were fooled into believing a con man and a grifter. #Buckleup these next 4 years are going to be bumpy

I’ve hit the point where I don’t need a clock on the wall. I need something that tells me the month, date, day of the week and year. Who needs minutes and hours…

I’ve bought the same brand/roast of coffee now for years. New bag tastes different and I just don’t like it. Experimental solution: add powdered cinnamon to the grounds before brewing. Result: Pretty good. #MakeLemonadeOutOfLemons

Greenland, Canada, Panama Canal? If the US is honestly looking to have a 51st state, maybe Puerto Rico is a better choice. We’ve had them in an awkward limbo for 127 years now and it looks like they might need some help.

Anyone else feel like it can’t be Christmas already? I mean, it feels like it was Thanksgiving yesterday.

If you must go to the stores this weekend, take extra patience and kindness. The roads will be crowded, and staff will be stressed. This isn’t the time to be in a hurry, or skip a meal. Have a snack, relax, smile and say Merry Christmas often.

One can’t underestimate the power fear has in business decisions. It captivates and ensnares, even CEO’s and boardrooms. It likely is one of the biggest drivers of decisions and indecision.

I’m not a fan of short grey days. I need sunshine and warmth. What do you do to stay positive and active when the weather is “bleh”?

Decided I should take a couple of years and re-read (or read for those I have not yet) the top 100 most banned books. As such, I’m off to the used bookstore tomorrow.
