Buck Leonard was a Negro League player who never got to play MLB because of racism. Leonard played for the Homestead Grays for many years batting 4th behind Josh Gibson. Gibson was known as the black Babe Ruth, Leonard was the black Lou Gehrig. For his career he hit .346 and became a HOF’er in 1972.
