It did not surprise me and should surprise nobody that college teachers and professors do not take a single class on how to teach. It's just assumed that they have attended classes so they know how. (And boy is that an ass/you/me/umption when it comes to teaching a class online.)

I have one of those profs this semester that gets your email, reads it, then makes an online announcement that the request you made has been corrected/enacted. Of course he also hasn't replied to me about enabling the closed caption and transcript features on his online lectures...

My Native Nation standing up for our heritage: inclusivity not discrimination.

My May Reads! River Woman River Demon was a mind blowing trip, but so was starting the Lady Astronaut series. Careless people REALLY needs you to visit Storygraph's content warnings before you venture in. And I think Everything is Tuberculosis should be required reading. #booksky

Just a quick reminder from your friend about to graduate in a degree studying it: Rush Limbaugh and all those other guys succeeded in branding "the media" as legacy broadcast and print journalism. We live in media. We live drenched in stories and narratives, some we create. Change the brand.

I would like for my people to have a party or bonfire and see one another and celebrate. I would prefer a green remains situation, would settle for cremation, but know if I go before my mom she'll want my body in a box. (Religious reasons)

I used to read FRANKENSTEIN once a year, and this is the image that did it for me.

i think about this often.

That comes to mind most often? Start Me Up or Gimme Shelter. Shout out to my conservative Christian parents for giving me a sideways education in classic rock because I needed to listen to "clean oldies," not I want Your Sex.

Can someone genuinely call themselves an ally if no one from a marginalized group is part of their life?
