Nearly 26,000 hectares of bushland has been approved for clearing so far this year in the NT, with no federal oversight at all. Fracking in the Beetaloo has never been referred under federal nature laws. We’re out of sight and mind, and staring down the barrel of an environmental catastrophe.

Just remember, when you see arguments lamenting the ‘cost of the transition’ that cite apparently eye watering figures, that we continue to spend even more each year on the continued expansion of fossil fuel production.

#Woodside When Howard and Downer bugged Timor to steal their resources, it was never to benefit Australia, it was always to benefit the American managed and majority owned Woodside Resources Are we under duress? Are we held to ransome? What other explanation could there be? #auspol

Isn’t it strange how so many economists have so suddenly discovered that Planning is cause of our housing crisis (yes we who have to deal with it know problem for decades) Whereas economists do this by endlessly quoting other economists… How about tax reform guys!! architectureau.com/articles/sta...

The violence in Khan Younis adds to a string of attacks that have killed hundreds of desperate people seeking food.

‼️UNBELIEVABLE WORLD CLIMATIC HISTORY REWRITTEN 53 DEGREES ON AN ISLAND 52.6 Failaka Island KUWAIT also 51.3 Bubyan Island >50 Iran,Iraq,49C in Qatar and Oman etc.. Absolutely extraordinary and it's the appetizer of what's coming next week !

the thing about not having an algorithm here is it's ok to have one fucking place that's not a popularity contest. we have the nielsen ratings. we have the charts. we have meta. everything is is already a popularity contest and it fucking sucks, globally. we can have one place where you vibe it out

We have lost all contact with our UNRWA colleagues in Gaza, communications have been cut off. This morning, for the first time in months, we did not receive their morning messages to say, "good morning" and "we are fine/alive". We anxiously await to hear from our colleagues.

Safe bet the optimistically titled Productivity Commission ignore the enormous tax concessions we give to big dumb utes…hope they prove me wrong but history suggests the PC has a keen eye for support for climate action & turns a blind eye to all things fossil fuel polluting…hope they prove me wrong

Greta Thunberg, arriving back in Europe after her abduction by Israel in international waters, explains in 40 seconds why western governments are colluding in genocide:

Miriam Margolyes OBE has a message for the Australian Government: ‘Never let it be said that Australia assisted in starving a nation to death.’

ICYMI A very important moment in global history is playing out in Australia right now. Should we unleash a massive carbon bomb? The biggest in the southern hemisphere to run to 2070? When we’re already in a climate crisis? All gas 4 export. No tax paid. For a psychopathic multinational corp? 👇

ExxonMobil is pleased to announce accelerated progress in its ongoing science experiment, entitled "How long will it take us to kill the ocean with our pollution and how long can humanity survive once the ocean is dead?"

A really clear and vital piece of analysis in Jeremy Bowen's long piece about the Gaza war, which is too often muddied by almost everyone. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

What a surprise ... not. Now ponder how many of these there are in Australia's coal seam gas fields, many already shut and effectively abandoned ... but not permanently plugged, because that's expensive. Who's going to do that? Haha.

Labor and the LNP are exactly alike on climate change and environmental destruction. But hey it was fun having that play fight over nukes during the election rather than debating reality.

Punching above our weight as always in terrible environmental degradation news (gift) www.nytimes.com/2025/05/28/w...

Ripper news. Massive loss of the ice sheets within my son’s lifetime. 12m sea level rise. Can’t imagine how the droughts and floods and topsoil loss will have reshaped the world by then 💔🤬 But hey that Woodside project will make a few rich people richer

How depraved do you have to be to pretend this is not really happening, and refuse to sanction the Israeli regime, or even call in the ambassador, while continuing to provide weapons components to the genocidal rogue state. #StopIsrael #auspol
