@mrjamesob.bsky.social Morning, If Jenrick was genuinely being a good citizen he wouldn't have been filming it and no doubt had a security team behind him. But yes fare dodging is rife due to there being insufficient or no station staff. And it breeds more petty crime and antisocial behaviour.

@mrjamesob.bsky.social Labour could resolve this Winter Fuel Allowance issue comprehensively without losing face by doing the following. Reinstate it as before but offer people, in advance, the opportunity to decline it if they do not need or want it. Money saved. Face saved.
