AI Hallucinations Explained: Why it's not a Bug, but a Feature - a new talk from Ian Griffiths youtu.be/N-UfNqGg6f8

I'd been suggesting to my editor at The Stack that I talk about NATS long before the kerfuffle with the CNCF because people like @hvr.endj.in were being so enthusiastic about the project and interesting projects like @wasmcloud.com were building on top of it.

I can't believe it's taken this long. www.youtube.com/watch?v=eyXG...

Was on godfather duties for a birthday party for 5 YO's yesterday. Discovered the Holy Grail of Party Rings.

I tend to hate YT reaction videos with the heat of 10,000 suns, but I'm rather enjoying watching an American watching Brass Eye for the first time with zero context youtu.be/I1KfKc6dZAo?...

This is the first in a series of articles by Ian Griffiths showing how to use .NET Aspire's dev-time orchestration to write integration tests for code that uses SQL Server. endjin.com/blog/2025/06... #dotnet #aspire

We've just published an hour long talk from Ian Griffiths about the state of Rx .NET in 2025: endjin.com/what-we-thin... #dotnet #csharp

Behold! A second video in our pivot to video experiment. This one is about how we use AI to write single-use AppleScript macOS applications to encode web-ready video to optimised mp4, webm, and avif. youtu.be/kMqj5F2YwVQ #webdev #macos #applescript #ffmpeg #webm #avif #ai #grind #pivotingWildly

I simply don't understand why the government would take a £10bn loss on bailing out RBS/NatWest - increase the tax on their profits until it's entirely recouped and charge interest.

Wanna see #StarWars #Andor's creator Tony Gilroy a little drunk & just lettin' it fly? During a interview with Stephen Colbert, he explains why he hates Disney's The Little Mermaid.

This is so cool to quickly experiment with C# on .NET 10 preview 4, you can just dotnet run mycsharp.cs and it will run the code 🤩 I can see using that for my C# build scripts for example! Hey @damianedwards.com @davidfowl.com @chethusk.bsky.social and team 👍🏼👏🏼 #csharp #dotnet

I'm very much enjoying this season of Doctor Who. First time in a while.

Are we still pivoting to video? We have made a blackspike YouTube channel after 15 years and plopped upon it a new #CSS and #HTML tips video based on the 🆒 techniques we used for our new Astro theme www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z1IL...

I've been really impressed with the power of dev containers + docker compose this week for multi container environments. This post covers all the goodies.

Ed Freeman presented "#MicrosoftFabric: Too Many Options - Which One(s) Should I Choose?" At the Oxford Data Platform User Group this week. I completely forgot to take any photos. So here's the excellent Yuzu I had for pudding when we went to Sticks 'n' Sushi afterwards

My usage of GitHub Copilot this week has been using it to create a feedback loop to examine output logs to diagnose & rectify (mis)configuration issues. It's been absolutely outstanding at finding & fixing issues. O3 Preview seems significantly better than other models for this use case.

Fans of @joeabercrombie.com ASSEMBLE!!! @bethtabler.bsky.social has a chin wag with one of our favourite authors about his writing, storytelling, and his latest novel, The Devils. www.grimdarkmagazine.com/interview-jo...

The Devils is now OUT in the UK in hardcover, e-book, and audio read by Steven Pacey. Fly, my pretties, to your local bookstore or preferred internet retailer. joeabercrombie.com/uk-publicati...

Hell yes!

My sister organised tickets to Beltain - Celtic Fire Festival, last night. www.butserancientfarm.co.uk/beltain-celt...

And I forgot to say the code samples are available on GitHub, so you can try it out: github.com/endjin/endji...

If you're using GitHub Copilot, you really do need to experiment with different models. The results are so variable. Gemini & Claude work well for C# for me, but O3 is the only model that can write / debug / improve SPARQL. If you used the default GPT4 you would throw it in the bin.

[1/3] Great 3 part series about #DuckDB - if you're a Data Engineer - it's a must read. Explore the concept of the 'data singularity' and how in-process analytics tools like DuckDB are transforming how we work with data by leveraging modern hardware capabilities. endjin.com/blog/2025/04...

Great usage of #kube-virt and #spinkube for #webassembly and AI

I'm surprised this isn't bigger news www.cncf.io/blog/2025/04...
