OMFG she is doubling down and MOCKING people for caring about preventable death

It appears ICE did not present a judicial warrant, had no right to enter this restaurant, no grounds to demand IDs, no authority to search computers or people, and no legitimate basis for arresting these two workers. Worker solidarity means refusing ICE demands. timesofsandiego.com/crime/2025/0...

some people have been saying!

Happy Pride

This is why "you're right, it isn't what you voted for, because your values aren't shared by the Republican Party" is a much more effective message to help build a better America than "yes you did vote for this, you bad person" which fails to take advantage of this once-in-a-generation opportunity

When the guy from Minnesota has to tell you you're being a doormat... you betcha you need to be a little meaner.

It's interesting* to try and hypothesize the minds of these Trump voters. These people usually believe crime rates are at all time highs (they're not), cities are where this is concentrated (small towns in red states have more crime per capita), and that "illegals" are the reason... *maddening

One of the big blind spots liberal elites have about this country is that they have no idea how prominent and prevelant stuff like "Christian Wealth Seminars" are. These typically recruit unsophisticated people into the scam *and* promote conservative ideology.

The brand destruction that will come to the university that lends its reputation to this will be massive. Stephen Miller University from that moment on.

I wanted to share with you several points from an article by Marc Champion @marcchampion1.bsky.social a Bloomberg columnist, who attended a meeting of generals and officers from around 20 countries at the UK's Royal United Services Institute. Key points from the article:⤵️

these agencies are straight up disappearing people and this democratic senator is having a chill hang with them jesus fucking christ

This was today… Sotally tober… NYT clearly way off base…

There are 2 previous historical cases of countries destroying their science and universities, crippling them for decades: Lysenkoism in the USSR and Nazi Germany. The Trump administration will be the 3rd. It's not just budgets but research, institutions, expertise, and training the next generation.

Back when I was an antipoverty policy nerd, asset tests were one of my things. They suck. 10 years ago I was criticizing Maine's rightwing governor for planning new asset tests. Newsom has jumped the shark. www.washingtonpost.com/news/wonk/wp...

Wonder if elected Democrats will start showing some vigor as their offices are literally invaded by Trump's gestapo troopers and their staff is hauled away. Jerry Nadler, maybe, but I'm going to say your median elected Dem, no.

These are straight up gestapo tactics from ICE. They’re going after Democrats trying to scare them or provoke a response to justify a further crackdown.

Musk should be asked about this in every interview he does now and forever. To ignore it is a dereliction of duty. www.nytimes.com/2025/05/30/o...

In a raid in South Park today ICE appear to have thrown flash bangs at a crowd of people outside Kindred. www.reddit.com/r/sandiego/s...

it's extremely funny that even with a full-court press going at CNN, at politico, and about a dozen different top shelf pundits, jake tapper and alex thomson only squeaked out ~50K sales in the first week. for reference, both of woodward's trump books were 1M+ in their first week.

WATCH: “They purposely put this facility in MEMPHIS — a Black city — in one of the Blackest, poorest areas.” Memphis native @bookersquared.bsky.social calls out the environmental racism behind Elon Musk’s XAI supercomputer, warns elected officials/mayors against supporting it.

Gavin Newsom shouting at his staff, demanding more trans kids to punch in the face

People can only hear “the former president who is now cancer stricken was old while in office” so many times, I guess.

This guy has murdered hundreds of thousands of people this year, most of them children.

Half the people in that room are criminals. They called J6ers political prisoners and pardoned them all.

*raises hand* a consolidated corporate media dominated by affluent brunchlords wants to supplant real journalism that challenges wealth and power with hollow, pseudo-journalistic infotainment that better serves and reflects the right wing, corporatist views of ownership

My favorite part of the lab leak freaks is the concept that "COVID-19 is a fierce bio-weapon unleashed on Americans by our worst enemies and your baby should definitely get it."

When the president of Harvard did something a fraction as severe as this, the Times covered it breathlessly for weeks. Just so we’re aware of the standard they set for themselves.

Holy shit. This is what Joni Ernst had to say to a scared Iowan telling her that her attacks on Medicaid and food stamps are going to hurt people.

Republican support for gay marriage has fallen to 41%. For those in the LGBTQ+ community who do not believe they are coming after gay marriage next after their draconian anti-trans restrictions, you're in for a surprise - we are all in this together.

Commonman McYale, Esquire over here really learned a lot at those fancy schools he networked at.

Again, authoritarianism as a component of capitalism is about shifting from a society of relative privilege to one where it becomes normal that people will needlessly die, that to protest or speak out means risking death or imprisonment. This has been building for decades.

The White House is lying about the GOP budget bill. This is a tactic to manufacture opinion for people trapped in the bubble of the right-wing information ecosystem www.gelliottmorris.com/p/the-white-...

The biggest scandal in U.S. history is hiding in plain sight. The president and his family are boosting their wealth by $1 billion every month, selling the power and prestige of the White House. Giving this a name - Cryptogate - and a concise guide. My new column www.inquirer.com/opinion/trum...

Passing off ChatGPT-generated text as one’s own is a form of plagiarism. Everyone involved should be fired. Under Trump, they’ll instead be promoted.

Palantir (Billionaire Peter Thiel's company) was connected to the Cambridge Analytica/Facebook/Russia election manipulation in 2016. Biden and the Democrats had four years to reign in these malevolent billionaires and did nothing, and now they have even more personal data to play with.

Wait…leopards eating *Federalists’* faces?
