Please help Yasmein and her family if can, either by donating or highlighting her donation campaign. I’ve chatted to Yasmein on several occasions, and you’d be pushed to find a more caring and wonderful person.

Tim Minchin at the Armadillo venue in Glasgow.

If you can, please help Rania from Gaza with a donation or with a post highlighting her donation and social media presence. www.gofundme.com/f/help-rania... instagram.com/raniamuhanna

1/2 If I were a milliner doing Royal Ascot hats, one design would feature a life-like parrot with a proximity detector, such that when someone encroaches within a certain distance, abusive expletives are issued from the mock parrot. #RoyalAscot #StupidHats #Millinery #Parrot #Kakapo

A walk along the Pipe Track, between Killearn and Strathblane, nor far from the Glengoyne whisky distillery. The path runs parallel to a Victorian era project, piping fresh water to Glasgow after cholera outbreaks. killearnheritage.org.uk/the-pipetrack/

Mugdock Castle. Stronghold of Clan Graham, and dating from the mid 14th Century, it is now a ruin of historical interest.

Mugdock Country Park – remains of anti-aircraft battery installations protecting Glasgow, with Glasgow usually visible in the distance. Not today! 3.7 inch calibre guns were used here apparently.

The governments of Iran and Israel deserve each other. Their respective populations – and others – deserve neither. #Iran #Israel #Authoritarianism

The cushion from Gail Myerscough has arrived. That will do very nicely indeed! Fits the chair perfectly and gives an extra level of comfort. Thank you to @gailmyerscough.co.uk for producing such exquisite designs.

Bramble, a rug and sunshine! #BrambleTheCat #Cat

The band ‘Sign Language’ at the Welly Club in Hull in February 1984. It appears I’m playing way up in the dusty portion of the bass guitar neck. Pete Cox on guitar, Maggie Foottit on vocals and hidden on the right, Grant Ardis on drums. Note the fantastic Burman combo amplifier that Pete had.

Hill House, Helensburgh. Rennie Mackintosh was the architect and also supplied both interior design and furnishings. Due to rain getting into cracks in the rough cement render, the entire house is enclosed in an open steel box. #RennieMackintosh #HillHouse

Sunny Glasgow. Looking up on Sauchiehall Street.

If you can help Rania and her family, I implore you to consider doing so. I’ve been in contact with her for several months and yes, she is a real person caught in a nightmare within a nightmare. gofund.me/29d6d485

Drymen Show from a few days ago. A bit northern Archers. (The Archers is a long running radio soap opera set in a rural farming community, for those who don’t know). #TheArchers
