I was giving someone interview tips today, and I remembered that one thing I do to come up with questions if I don't have any organic ones is to take the kinds of questions employers usually ask and turn it around on them. "What areas for improvement do you have?" kinda thing.

This is exactly what I mean when I say that it is impossible to reduce friction, only to move it around. The text-making-up machine dropped the friction of "research" to zero, but every single person downstream of that "research" who has to act upon it now shoulders a double workload.

I'll never forget the time I was sitting at a traffic light and someone was walking down the street drinking from a fountain drink cup. She took a final sip and then casually plopped the empty cup right into some bushes. No remorse. Just, the world is my garbage can. It told me a lot about people.
