First play with the Pro One and Kobol Expander integrated with the modular for sequencing and modulation. Extra sound sources include Dark Energy, some 2HP drums, and a few layers of Summit for good measure. Can possibly see this going somewhere. soundcloud.com/ikjoyce/synt...

Introducing the Pro One and Kobol Expander to the modular. They seem to play nicely together. Four sequences and using two Tides as triggered envelopes for melodic shaping.

I'm now going to have to listen to The Pink Panther theme on repeat for a few hours to shift that bloody Opus song out of my head.

I always joke that the 80s ended in 86, and 87 was the year music died. Just watched Top Of The Pops from 85, & Fergal Sharkey was ahead of the curve. "Loving You" felt like the worst song ever recorded, then they ended with Opus "Live is Life" and I need to bring my timeline forward a few years.

Dusted off the old XP-10 and MC-50. Still works, loading data off these 30 year old 3.5 inch floppies just fine!

Slight studio re-organisation - switching a rack and the keyboards around, moving my main desk about a foot and a half diagonally in to compress the space a little and make it easier to reach everything. As usual, half way in and it feels like I am getting nowhere, and not sure if it will work out.

Yup, I've actually got something new out today. Here's my reworked version of Estuary Bolts by the @firestations.bsky.social bod @bitcloudy.bsky.social. An intro card fanfare, uncomfortable fidgeting drums and a deep bass undercurrent as the tide rolls in. bitcloudy.bandcamp.com/track/estuar...

Today's patch from scratch on the modular resulted in a huge sounding almost choral thing. ikjoyce.bandcamp.com/track/suspen...

Another Laurie-Spiegel inspired track made on the modular today, so I added it to 'Im Spiegel'. Who knows, more might get added here. ikjoyce.bandcamp.com/track/go-wit...

A new track that grew from a modular synth patch that was initially inspired by Laurie Spiegel. ikjoyce.bandcamp.com/track/im-spi...

Happy publication to Birch and Jay by Allister Thompson, published by Latitude 46, May 2025. Birch and Jay is available wherever books are bought or borrowed. store.latitude46publishing.com/products/bir... @latitude46pub.bsky.social @allistert.bsky.social

Book launch day! The release of your first traditionally published novel is no time for humility, so: if you care deeply about the future for human and other life on this planet and could use a passionate call to arms against today’s horrors, then ‘Birch and Jay’ is a book for you.

My new album is going to be out tomorrow - bit of a delay as it was meant to be out May 16th, then May 20th but the tape has been shipped and I'm get it tomorrow afternoon. I'll publish it about 7pm UK time and will ping a bandcamp email and post on here. Cheers

A new Frame by Frame comic from me and illustrator Hannes Pasqualini. Our 15th so far. Full archive at disquiet.com/fxf.

For #PrintPromptMonday #Text I have only ever cut one bit of text in a lino print and this is it – my Old Lifeboat Station at Lizard print. This has my favourite figure ever in a print of mine. I wish they could all be this good. #printmaker #printmaking
