After their trial in Romania &, if extradited to UK, Andrew Tate (38) will face 10 criminal charges. His brother Tristan Tate (36) will face 11 Charges for both will include rape ABH, human trafficking and controlling prostitution. The Tates vigorously deny all charges and any wrong doing.

Khalil v Trump K sought preliminary injunction. I respectfully agree with DJ’s rulings yesterday that: 1/ K unlikely to win 1st Amnd retaliation claim; but 2/ K is likely to succeed on the merits with his 5th Amnd as applied ‘vagueness’ challenge, to Rubio’s s. 1227 decision.

The restriction on courts’ enforcing contempt citations is in s. 70302 of the ‘Big Beautiful Bill’. In essence it says if, when the injunction was issued, the Plaintiff did not give a security bond, pursuant to FCPR 65(2), the court can not enforce a contempt citation for breach of that injunction.

Oh I see… In addition to his experience as an asst US Attorney for NY, Dep US AG, Trump’s nominee to 3CA, 44 yr old Emil Bove III, was also formerly one of Trump’s ‘personal’ lawyers. He’s a shoe in. An expert on the Rule of Law I gather…?

Billionaire Elon Musk is disappointed with the ‘Big Beautiful Bill’ because “the spending raises the deficit.” I suppose any ‘cause and effect’ analysis is viewpoint biased? In my eyes the income tax cuts, not the public spending, are the key upward drivers of the US deficit. But there it is.

London - CPS announced intention to indict Andrew Tate and Tristan Tate on 21 criminal charges including rape and human trafficking. CPS has issued European Arrest Warrants for the brothers. Reported Romanian Court has ordered them to attend court for extradition proceedings.

IMAO Trump et al’s decision to revoke immigration status of Harvard University’s foreign students is arbitrary capricious unfair and unlawful. Isn’t it basically the executive’s equivalent to a legislative ‘Bill of Attainder’ ? Also inflicts harm on new foreign students without any due process.

Chagos Islands - Within 12 hrs the English High Ct has rescinded its earlier emergency injunction restraining UK signing 99 + yr lease deal with Mauritius. Uk PM promptly signed the deal. The ‘Diego Garcia’ military base on Chagos to continue at alleged average cost to UK of £101 million pa.

In truth SCOTUS affirmed ‘by default’ lower court’s Oklahoma charter school state funding case. A 4/4 split automatically affirms lower court. Barrett J recused which is why 8 judges. Had Barrett J participated, one might speculate that maybe it might’ve been 5/4 reversing the lower court ?

I believe supporters of justice liberty and the rule of law everywhere, owe a profound debt of gratitude to the lawyers fighting the Trump Administration’s abuses of power in the Courts. Their clients are generally vulnerable poor unpopular or oppressed. Those offering them legal help are heroic.

IMAO if/ when the US electorate vote 2 replace the Trump Administration and Congress, urgent consideration must be given to Constitutional amendments preventing the future misuse / abuse of power by any future US President. Lessons need to be learned and strong unambiguous safeguards implemented.

Sad to say, but it seems to me that under the correct administration, any alien within the US, whether legal or illegal, faces the risk of deportation at mere whim of the federal govt. TPS can be swept away over night. Visa’s Green cards etc can be revoked. Legal remedies seem largely ineffectual.
