I really hope that human kind destroys itself — and as luck would have it, we’re on a good track — so that the planet can thrive and flourish without our destructive influence. We’re not worthy of this planet Earth.

give it a read. it's refreshing

Andor S2 wasn't for me. It has its merits, but I consider S1 better, more engaging and interesting. Season 2 is just as bleak, purposefully so no doubt, but even slower in pacing, and even more depressing. I don't quite get the praise S2 has gotten, but of course we all like different things.

One of my guilty pleasures what comes to movies is The Ninth Gate, starring Johnny Depp. It reminds me of the times in my youth when we played Call of Cthulhu. It has the same Lovecraftian vibes. Forbidden knowledge, a scholarly protagonist and an ominous atmosphere.

Liz has once again updated our #WoW lore books guide for your perusal, including the new Midnight prequel novel coming out in November! Though it's near the bottom of this 7000 word lorestravaganza, so you may have to do some scrolling. (Or click on the link straight to the Midnight section.)

I enjoyed Andor S1, but felt it was quite bleak. I’m now watching S2, aware of the praise it has received. I read it picks up after S2E3. I hope so, because so far the pacing has felt somewhat tedious. I’m not hoping for mindless action at all, but for the pacing of the narrative to become tighter.

just found an incredible website: www.kalevalaipsum.com and the anglo-saxon version: www.beowulfipsum.com

This isn’t getting nearly enough attention. Estonian navy is stopped at intercepting a shadow fleet vessel because a Russian Sukhoi Su-35 violated Estonian air space. This reduces even the implausible deniability to 0, which Russia has been relying on with the shadow fleet.

The University of Helsinki has put this introductory course on "Sustainable Space" online, covering topics such as #spacedebris, #spaceweather, #solarwind, magnetosphere, and ionosphere, atmosphere, as well as basics of satellites, orbits, and launchers. courses.mooc.fi/org/uh-physi...

Happy to hear that you’ll give it a watch! I think it holds up well for a film produced <gulp> 35 years ago. But of course, I’m probably a bit biased.

Why Pigeons at Rest Are at the Center of Complexity Theory. When pigeons outnumber pigeonholes, some birds must double up. This obvious statement, and its inverse, have deep connections to many areas of math and computer science. www.wired.com/story/how-a-...

Peter Falk once stayed in character as Columbo while attending a roast for a showbiz legend, and you can watch what happened right here.

Interesting indeed. youtube.com/shorts/eQqzA...

It's astonishing and disturbing how the USA has in a matter of a couple of months revealed itself to be an outright fascist, oligarchic and theocratic dictatorship. An enemy of liberal democracies -- the real free world. The seeds have been sown long before and they have now taken strong roots.

The Twilight Zone -- the original series from 1959 on -- is still haunting, captivating, mysterious and fascinating. So much better than most of the crap on the telly these days. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Twi...

It's Storytime with Wil Wheaton is going to start hitting podcast apps in about 15 hours. I've been developing this for almost two years and I can't believe it's actually happening.

Just a heads up for those nerds of you who for some odd reason might have missed these. Assassin’s Creed Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla are stunning experiences. Worlds you can lose yourself into. Worlds incredibly beautiful, vast, and stories often deep and touching. #games #assassinscreed

Just in case anyone missed this...

The USA has now become a rogue state. A threat to democracy and world peace. Once an ally, now an adversary to western democracies.

This is how I view us right now too.
