If you're interested in a Let's Play with a voice actress, here it is.She seems to still be active. Her last stream was 9 days ago. "AKA Isobel in Baldur's Gate 3, AKA a bunch of other folk in other things. Currently playing Baldur's Gate 1 Enhanced Edition!" -FooMia www.youtube.com/@foomia/play...

I'd like to add to the list: * Modifying and playing Infinity Engine games

I have an account on Unsplash. I upload high-resolution, copyright-free images there, taken with my smartphone camera. Interested modders are welcome to use them. They could, for example, be used for the item description(see image). Here is the link: unsplash.com/de/@incremen...

Candlekeep is the starting point of our adventure in BG1 and the protagonist's home. The map looks a bit different in the game. It's fun to see different depictions of this place. Artist: @mikeschley.bsky.social Source: prints.mikeschley.com/p530730153/h...

Icewind Dale (2000) Developed by Black Isle Studios.

It's been a long time since I posted an IE mod. Here's another popular one... "The Tweaks Anthology is a WeiDU compilation of nearly 200 components of cosmetic changes, house rules, and other tweaks...Each component can be installed separately..." gibberlings3.github.io/Documentatio...

It's Christmas 1998, and you're deep into CRPGs and AD&D. You pop in the first of Baldur's Gate's five discs and are greeted by an epic autorun that'll whisk you to Forgotten Realms like you've never seen them before. That was my Xmas 1998 with my first Win 95 PC. I was so excited to play it. 💜

No posts this weekend!

Remember the post about a fan project to recr. the BG1 intro video using Blender? v1.0 has been released. "...my project to remake the introduction to Baldur's Gate 1, which I created as part of my Blender training...but above all, a labor of love, full of memories." www.youtube.com/watch?v=U9_A...

This is Tutoril's portrait, the guy in the Forgotten Realms who created 'Tutoril's Historical Encyclopedias.' I created him, so he's basically fanfiction.

Here's another picture of Baldur's Gate. FO1 and 2 are also among my favorite gaming experiences.

Inon Zur is one of the composers for BG2. He has amazing tracks, but since art is always very subjective when it comes to liking, here's a link with some of his work. The first composition in his collection is the Throne of Bhaal Theme🎧. soundcloud.com/inonzur

I don't have much to post today, so... this is a still unopened box of Siege of Dragonspear. Goodnight😴!

I haven't tried this mod, but it looks interesting enough to share, in my opinion. "Watch this in 1440p full-screen to get the best idea of what this looks like in real life." - by Zeckul www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_PT...

Here's another IE artist. In this case, it's art for Siege of Dragonspear. Beautiful maps can be found at the link. "Created rendered environment art using art asset libraries and my own assets.I built and rendered most areas in 3DS Max [...]" -Alyssa Duguay www.artstation.com/artwork/019eV

This is one of the great stories you can experience in Baldur's Gate 2. I agree that not everyone will enjoy its storytelling style, but what game can truly claim that? Maybe mods can increase the enjoyment; at least, it's worth trying😉.

Ah, it's good to have a presence in many different parts of the wide web. Look what someone shared: "When I worked in Black Isle I was tasked with taking scene models and texturing,...I completed one of these scenes every 3 days." -Stone Perales www.artstation.com/artwork/Q9P88

Sometimes it's helpful to use free images when modding instead of drawing everything yourself. I used some images from Unsplash. Not every image needs to be credited(copyright-free), but I do anyway. Here's the link: unsplash.com

Even devs like to modify their games. David Gaider co-developed a mod. "...the designers were Cuveronious, Quitch, Xyx, Spork, Vulgar Zildrah, and Kensai Ryu, and the project team leader was David Gaider, one of the writers on Throne of Bhaal itself..." www.gibberlings3.net/mods/quests/...

Justin Sweet apparently created some or all of the portraits in Icewind Dale. I can't say for sure. There are many beautiful works of art on his website. Check them out. I found his name in the IWD credits section, which is displayed here: gamefaqs.gamespot.com/pc/256221-ic... justinsweet.com

JunJunKit's "BG1EE Challenge Runs" aren't always successful, but they can be entertaining to 👀 (see link below). He also streams: "The channel will showcase stream highlights of my livestreams which have predominantly been the classic Baldur's Gate series." - JunJunKit www.youtube.com/watch?v=F64T...

"Torment:Tides of Numenera" was actually inspired by an IE game, namely "Planescape:Torment."The Kickstarter campaigns goal was reached, but is still visitable.I'll post the link below.Chris Avellone, once the lead designer of PS:T,"was one of the stretch goals. www.kickstarter.com/projects/inx...

Here's a showcase of the InfinityUI mod. It's worth checking out, maybe you'll like it. github.com/Renegade0/In...

The screenshot shows some of the monsters you can encounter in the IE games. The screenshot is taken from the readme for the "Infinity Animations" mod in the "Animation" section. Here's the link to the readme: spellhold-studios.github.io/readmes/infi...

Here's the modding website of a particular modder. The download link leads to a 404 error message. The website may be about 14 years old (historical value). The website design is simple, but friendly and inviting. I personally like it. motsc-bg.weebly.com/news/archive...

Sorry, no posts today!

Another BG fan item. This time it is "Candlekeep Inn – with playable interiors! (D&D Baldur's Gate miniature terrain)". www.youtube.com/watch?v=MVHV...
