ALA is deeply concerned by reports that IMLS is sending notices to libraries claiming to cancel grants that are required by law. Bought kid #1 two books today that they are thrilled to start reading—Fahrenheit 451 & Parable of the Sower. I bought myself It Can’t Happen Here & a mystery novel. Checkout person joked with us, “just a little light reading, huh?” Yep, get the books they want banned before they’re gone.
