Done 🙂 I altered this dress incl. its lining to at least one size smaller by taking in the front seams & back pleats, lowering the shoulders, and adding pleats to the skirt 🪡 I think making a dress from scratch is easier?! 😅 #sewing

I think these folk costumes are truly magnificent, they're originally made from raw materials in households (hemp, linen, wool), embroidered with decoration acc. to the region, village and family. Each costume tells a story through the symbols & colors used en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Romania...

Happy Europe Day! 🇪🇺 We participated in a local activity where we represented Romania 🇷🇴 We'd prepared 'cartofi tărănești' (peasant potatoes) and displayed traditional ceramics and 'ie' (embroidered blouse). I think we did ok :) La mulți ani Europa :)
