day 71. this is the beginning of the end of the maimai arc. the local op has gone and swapped the good touch panel over to the side with the good monitor. no news on whether the cracked button on that side was replaced too, but i can still play screen in the meantime.

day 65. i enjoyed trying chunithm...but i haven't spent more than 145 hours in 7 months playing the equivalent of 3 to $400's worth of sets, let alone studying charts and improving my skills. as time wears on, as unwilling as i am to let go, i'm starting to ask myself: is this it--a post-maimai era?

As a Splatoon player since 2016, I fell in love with Calabiyau/Strinova's movement at first sight. TL;DR: They took this meme and ROLLED with it. After going back to Windows for unrelated reasons, I gave it a try myself, and "To The Beatuiful" is a banger. The game is OK too I guess.

I'm holding on as long as I can. Kaizen cabs are still several months out--and that's assuming anywhere in my area is down for the first batch--still no monitor or panel for the local FiNALE cab, and I don't have the $ to upgrade my tablet, build a con, or move. What's a maimai player like me to do?

I just discovered you can middle click the back and forward buttons in Brave (or another Chromium browser, I'm sure) to open that page in a duplicate tab. I pressed the wrong button on my tablet pen. Some of the best things are discovered by accident.
