Hawley is such a POS.

Johnathan Joss died a hero. He was murdered for being gay, he went out protecting his trans husband from being executed. They burned down their home and killed their pets and then they murdered Joss while trying to murder his husband. The New York times can barely muster "fatally shot." I hate this.

*ignorant not dumb.

and things like your emails and texts live an awfully long time so like don't send/create digital copies of things you wouldn't want to encounter later in court

BREAKING: Federal judge orders that hormone therapy and social accommodations be maintained for transgender people in federal prisons, blocking Trump admin policies. Judge Royce Lamberth, a Reagan appointee, granted class certification and prelim. injunction in a lawsuit challenging the policies.

Just want to remind folks this is a thing and you could really annoy some people for the greater good ;D

Your identity isn't earned. Happy Pride, folks 💜 artist: roxycomics.com

Pride was forged literally fighting cops. They are, without exception, the enemies of our communities and our survival.

‪Thank you @ivancoyote.bsky.social

if you care about trans people, do not watch the new jk rowling show. don’t even hate watch it or you will be funding this new intentionally transphobic organization. we cannot allow hateful people take away more of our rights

My family has a rule of No Talking On The Stairs because stairs are your enemy and they require vigilance

The Latest Kate (www.patreon.com/c/thelatestk...) always has something in her art that speaks to the moment. I typically see her art on her Facebook page.

Procedural question for Criminal Law people: I know particularity is required in application for a warrant. If the descriptions / scope of what will be seized are Attachments, do copies of those Attachments have to be provided to the subject with the warrant when it is being executed? #lawsky

No no no! These university leaders don’t get it. If you negotiate one on one you don’t buy peace; you just expose the whole sector and yourselves to more shakedowns. See law firms. The only response is to unite in collective action and fight the Admin’s illegality. www.cnn.com/2025/05/31/p...

I know that's an actual term, but to me this just looks like more dehumanizing language.

remember when there was a spontaneous, mass movement to remove adams as mayor for being obviously corrupted and controlled by trump, and then a bunch of people started saying the savvy thing to do would be to wait it out a few weeks to avoid a special election, and the energy fizzled out?

Your friendly reminder that Trump is using legitimate concerns about antisemitism as a pretext to go after perceived political opponents. Jews don't benefit from this. Only Trump does.

"In investigating the case, agents believe the person may have been involved in sending these letters, claiming to be from Reyes, in an attempt to have Reyes deported before the case could go to trial, sources said."

Scoop: Texas police used Flock's license plate cameras to search *nationwide* for a woman who had a self-managed abortion. Claim it was "about her safety" www.404media.co/a-texas-cop-...

Trump's tariffs voided in three-judge slapdown open.substack.com/pub/allrisen...

now is the time for universities to announce that they collectively will not disenroll any international student who has their visa revoked, and that they will ensure remote degree completion is possible

still waiting for one (1) reporter with access to ask Musk or Trump what they think about Amy Gleason’s job performance

US Court of International Trade just issued decision in case against Trump tariffs filed by Liberty Justice Center and me. All "Liberation Day"/IEEPA tariffs ruled illegal, and blocked by injunction! See link for opinion. I will have much more to say soon: www.cit.uscourts.gov/sites/cit/fi...

NEW: We filed a brief in the U.S. Supreme Court supporting @citizensforethics.org‬'s lawsuit seeking transparency about DOGE's actions. DOGE is trying to avoid transparency, so we are stepping in to defend the role of FOIA — a vital tool Americans have to hold our government accountable.

I'm not sure orange man knows what is going on in his administration half the time, but what is happening is based on his priorities, and this child is in danger.

"SpaceX and two of its partners are frontrunners to win a big chunk of President Donald Trump’s 'Golden Dome' missile defense shield, Reuters previously reported." Well, they certainly excel at blowing stuff up 🙃

At the time, I missed the opening of this May 1 interview in which Jesse Watters says Musk invited Fox News “to sit in on *his* weekly 10 pm DOGE meeting.” “We met the whole crew…And they showed us how DOGE really gets done.” Conspicuously absent? AMY GLEASON, THE PERSON WHO SUPPOSEDLY LEADS DOGE

me, reading DOJ’s Abrego Garcia motion to dismiss

"Young white men aren't succeeding as much anymore because other people (POC, LGBTQA+, women, etc) are being given a chance and the young white are expected to behave respectfully toward them in professional and academic settings!" is quite an argument.

I've been trying to help deal with this yesterday and today. It's been... a lot. Anything folks can chip in would help.

This doesn't even touch on the sequestration triggered by the spending, does it? What was it, like 490 billion dollars cut from Medicare over ten years if not addressed? The GOP only cares about fiscal conservatism as a means to punish the poor for existing.

Wrote this the day after the election. Unfortunately, it aged well.

Is it insider trading if the markets are closed right now

"The people willing to still be on twitter think I should stay on twitter" is a hell of an argument

Not just student data. DOJ apparently requested any email or text where faculty or staff discussed the Trump DEI EOs -- something that would target lots of pure political speech.

I don want to be too hyperbolic but I think what Kat is doing, by making the campaign about taking care of people too, not just hustling votes, is so novel and needed.

Wild how quickly “can they do that?” became a political question and not a legal one

tl;dr — this EO co-opts the language of open science to implement a system of political control wherein presidential appointees are given broad latitude to designate any number of reasonable scientific activities and inferences as scientific misconduct, and to penalize those involved accordingly.
