2 weeks ago I wrote several pretty heavy scenes of my novel & found myself bit reluctant to get back to it. Then I realised I could write a much lighter, fun scene - something I needed, and maybe a mythical future reader might need too! The main thing is doing what we need to get it written, right?

Drinking a charcoal latte blacker than the night and it's time to smash out some more deadlines!

Ignored the glorious sunshine today to finish writing and editing a Halloween themed story. It's not too early... 🔥👻

More than any other thing we do, we must do this. The world will constantly try to wrench it away from us so we have to guard it and fight for it when it comes to that - and it will.

The sky is darkening, rain is pattering, thunder is grumbling and I'm drinking hot chocolate with a spiderweb pattern. Getting in the mood to write something spooky! 👻

This story is so much fun! "On her second birthday, Elora grabbed a sunbeam. When she opened her chubby fingers, a drop of sunshine rolled around her palm like a cough drop. She stuck the golden drop in her mouth. 'Elora, no!'” gonelawn.net/journal/issu...

Now more than ever we need original art, music, and creative expression. We don't need to work on how to make the world work. We need to focus on why we bother. #Art #MusicSky #BookSky #Dance #Creativity #Rebellion #Expression

Hello to anyone new! I write fantasy stories about loving broken things. My most recent book was The Map and the Territory, a post-apocalyptic picaresque about a cartographer and a wizard trying to get home in a shattered world haunted by a death goddess.

Lovely how Erin Kissick writes about decomposition nourishing new life in an interconnected ecosystem--in this case, from the carcass of a huge, fallen dragon.

This story is a great mix of spooky and cozy. And a clever, original take on the disturbance in the house...

Did you know the latest issue of Luna Station Quarterly is a double issue? And it's packed with great stories, starting with a wild ride of a story called When to Choose the Snake God by Jennifer Jeanne McArdle 😄🐍🏞️🌬️ @lunastation.bsky.social

Exposed for using AI and not even checking if the books on the list were real. Just shows how untrustworthy AI-based information is, and why you should never use it for writing of any sort.

What sets me apart as a writer is using Jungian themes & alchemical concepts in all my stories, which I superimpose over popular genres like fantasy & sci-fi. If you'd like to learn my perspective, I have a whole Jungian Writing Series on my Patreon (400+ articles) www.patreon.com/posts/119917438

Enjoyed the lush prose and heartfelt story of The Last Dragoners of Bowbazar by Indra Das. Anyone who like quiet fantasy with magic woven so smoothly into reality that it feels real would enjoy this. @indrapramitdas.bsky.social

"I recognised the mossy smell of the Tea of Forgetfulness. I drank it in reverent silence. 'Why don't you let me remember?' I dared ask. She blinked. 'You deserve to be real in this world. It's not an easy thing to be stuck between worlds.'" - Indra Das @indrapramitdas.bsky.social
