Whew something we don’t talk about is how often the younger siblings are blamed for a family dynamic they didn’t create. And it’s especially bad when it’s an older sister and younger brother dynamic.

Truth is I’m tired…….

In the spirit of the #TonyAwards2025 , I do pray over this play everyday. I really believe Hattie McDnaiel and her story of resilience and triumph deserves to see the Broadway stages. Just need a NYC theater to take a chance on it!

Biiiiiihhhhh did y’all hear that harmony and that run on “change”…??!!!!! Oh they finna send us straight to the pearly gates.

So cool seeing my work come to life on stage. My Hattie McDaniel inspired play BOULEVARD OF BOLD DREAMS now playing at Bluff City Theatre in MO.

Some heavy hitters are reading our pitch for the TV show adaptation. I’m lighting a candle, writing down a prayer, and manifesting.

Full character art set of the BATR trilogy so far. To showcase magical Black kids in their element is all I want. Uhhh, I can’t wait to see these images brought to life on the TV screen.

Begging these white writers to add token Black characters in their shows is insane work.

When I say my book Blood at the Root is for the Black boys who don’t always get to see themselves as a hero in books—this is what I mean. You never who’s watching. 🥹🥹🥹

Yooooo going to a magical HBCU and still gotta take gen ed classes is crazy! 😂😂😂😂

I know JoJo wants us to not listen to the old versions but baby it’s something crispy and nostalgic about her Self titled (2024) and The High Road (2006)

Be weary of those who say you’ve “changed” over the years. Because 9/10 they haven’t.

I’m really tired of being painted as a villain from family member’s who refuse to heal. This is why I moved away from Alabama to LA.
