@azgict.bsky.social please enjoy this photo series (Almost) All the Heavy Shit I've Moved This Summer.

I flipped that damn hunk of concrete end over end like a roid bro on a strong man competition flipping a gahtdamn tractor tire. 💪🏻

Can Trump actually accept the “flying palace” from Qatar? Definitely not. Ranking Member of @democrats-judiciary.house.gov, Professor @raskin.house.gov, busts out the Constitution in this edition of “Is this sh*t legal?”

One inbox. Two articles. One enraged librarian. noellebarrick.com/2025/05/21/t...

Rewatching @ruha9.bsky.social #acrl2025 keynote to ingest better & found the Monica Westin article she cites: "While the popular history of the internet valorises Silicon Valley coders . . . many of the original concepts for search emerged from library scientists. . . ." aeon.co/essays/the-1...

I won't make it to a protest today, so let me just state for the record: #HANDSOFFLIBRARIES #HANDSOFFSCIENCE #HANDSOFFEDUCATION #HANDSOFFSOCIALSECURITY #HANDSOFF

I've hit the worst part of any conference: achy head and exhaustion. The fancy term is "overstimulated," but I call it "if you look at me wrong, I will cry." See you in the morning, all. #acrl2025

I have done other things at #acrl2025 besides haunt the exhibit hall. My highlights so far have been the keynote by Dr. Ruha Benjamin (if you were inspired, read Imagination) and Kevin Sebastian's presentation reevaluating information seeking models in the context of "AI-mediated research."

Best #acrl2025 swag: Pick up a knitting project pouch (or pencil pouch or whatever) at JSTOR and the coolest stickers at Springshare, and then hit the APA booth to answer trivia questions to win a tumbler. Yes, I came to learn. But free shit? Also cool.

The best way to attack a big exhibit hall is to hit 2-4 aisles per day and embrace delusions about the number of ARCS that will fit in your suitcase. #acrl2025

Broken backpack zipper and snowy weather aside, I'd call this an auspicious start to #acrl2025 .

Let's see how long it gets before it's back in ICT. #acrl2025

Dang, Minneapolis, I got here a day early for #acrl2025 so I could find something fun to do and you're going to snow on me? Rude.

WOW. Watch a constitutional law expert completely DEBUNK Republicans’ censorship crusade, while articulating exactly how Donald Trump is threatening freedom of speech. 🔥

Looking at the schedule for #acrl2025 is a bizarre reminder that proposals were accepted before ~all this~. It's surreal.

Part of me wants to save these chocolates because they're so pretty. But also I really like chocolate.

If it looks like a dictator and it quacks like a dictator, it's a dictator who knows that to control a people you have to control its arts. www.npr.org/2025/02/07/n...

I'm only kind of joking about learning Morse code.
