I bought 160 acres and will plant over 1 million seeds and 10,000 trees but have 1 long road ahead. Please share your planting advice with me, guide me, and enjoy our forest. Watch the forest grow at jacksonerp.org

Wow. Elon Musk's tweet about Trump being in the Epstein Files was posted while Joe Rogan was interviewing Kash Patel. Patel was clearly caught off guard. Rogan: Jesus Christ. Patel: I'm not participating in any of that conversation...I'm just staying out of the Trump-Elon thing.

I am adding data to my SOP and post it soon. I will also post a spreadsheet with the current list of trees being grown, however, that list is tenuous updated monthly. So far, the SOP is about 40 pages long, but I am reducing the page count by writing certain parts like pizza instructions on a box.

The plan: readings in soil pH, consider shade, water, ability to get a cistern to some locations etc. This will not be a poke and plug tree planting in April 2026. November 2025 each hole will be predrilled. Amendments will be added and native a soil will be added taken to add to growing pots in FL

JacksonEarth has a strip of soil that has a neutral pH. Soil samples taken shows a clear difference. Since planting a large number of trees will be done in Alkaline soils v Neutral, every spot will be amended. Some will require sulphur and Iron, and each tree will have a specific need.

Adding to spreadsheet a new column that shows plants currently struggling to determine cause, water, sun, pH, insects. So far I have 3 trees either struggling or taking longer to surface, each tree is a fruit tree, could just be they require longer time to breach the soil.

Jacaranda sprouting look like two little butts. The other image is a sycamore. While Jacaranda only live 50 years, the baby sycamore you see can live several centuries

Scientists in N. Zealand have discovered a native fungus that can break down plastic in just 140 days. Researchers at the University of Canterbury have now found that Daldinia concentrica can digest common plastics like polypropylene & polyethylene, which make up a huge portion of global waste.

100 new cone-trainers have arrived. I might plant 100 more but really wanted to do Pinyon. The delivery date is now June 24 for those seeds. Ugh

mixed a batch of 1% milk with 1/8 tbsp of turmeric. To see if it helps the aspen. Testing the potassium levels two most noticeable containers.

Weird finding: test 1) Ethylene Aspen test 2) Hydroponic Aspen test 3) No amendments Both Ethylene and Hydroponic Aspen have grown but Hydroponically kept leaves while Ethylene (circle)lost leaves. No treatment seeds have not shown any signs of growth at all. Not sure what is happening or why.

Seven Days in three images

I should see growth of the other seeds in 30 days. This kind of scares me because of the amount of time that must pass. In 11 months, I have to drive what has grown to JacksonEarth. I need these babies to be strong. Question: should I double my efforts on the fastest growing seeds, any thoughts?

Honey Mesquite: Poplar: Pinyon Pine: Sycarmore are clearly the fastest growing. Sure aspens are growing too, but germination of the others is more satisfying. American Plum is also quick but only when scarification is perfect, which is really hard to do. In all Ethylene treated are healthiest.

Water crystals are great. Although, I thought I was using a minimum amount, the rain proved me wrong. I am buying a digital scale to weigh the amendments with more precision. I am designing a kind of hardened mobile lab kit for when I am on the property, with limited resources.

I was unable to move the trees in time for the deluge. Most of the baby trees are fine: However, I can confirm / anything over 500 mg of water crystal when “seeding” is a bad idea. In addition I updated the SOP to remind me only 4 grams (a teaspoon)of mycorrhizal per GALLON) of soil is needed.

The oncologist says in October my son will be off chemo because it is working. After his surgeries removed the tumors, he is responding well. After October, they will wait for 3 months for. CT scan to check him out and continue checking his blood work. He might actually beat stage 4.

Poplar and willow are doing really well. Sycamore is growing, mulberry is growing too, but i have made a mistake with the water crystal and rain. Only a half a gram of water crystal is needed. With this rain, i may lose some of the seeds but i have relocated them away from the rains

@ronfilipkowski.bsky.social We are all fighting against “agent orange” I am happy for Meidas and proud of your growth. We are also fighting the consequences caused ex post factum. Please, use your global reach to include jacksonerp.org for our climate crisis fight & let others know we are here.

new bunny sighting

I really need to adjust my potting. I have such a mixture of seeds, but some require more water, others do not, some require more light and some are so fragile they need partial light. It is so much easier growing hydroponically but for the number of trees i hope to have in 26 i need to adjust.

Yeah, so weeds are starting to grow in my containers far faster than trees. ugh

14 day control cold stratification test in distilled water with 1% hydrogen peroxide, absorbed by water crystal. Testing American Plum seeds, to conclude on June 9, 2025

fountain pump works, now to clean everything up.

The new seed tray, if this works, it will solve a large back order problem that I am facing and I can begin planting 500 more seeds.
