The second event along Jefferson and Leesburg Pike was organized by a group of 80+ year olds from the nearby retirement home. They got the permits, spoke to the local businesses, and came prepared. ~1000 people when we drove by earlier.

We hosted a murder mystery dinner last night and it was so much fun! @jaredshort.com and I went a little overboard with decorations to fit the theme of the game. We made a sign post, jungle branches & vines, had torches, and made our own “crates” of artifacts & camp supplies.

Many others are posting abt this too but this graphic viscerally shows how dire the presidential budget is for NASA 🔭🧪and worldwide astronomy. I can’t express how sad this makes me, as an American scientist. And it’s mostly already paid for projects, so also no logic in terms of saving money.
