Teachers in Alberta aren’t just standing up for themselves, they’re standing up for their students, for our schools, and for the future of public education. #ABEd #ABEducation #ABLabour #AbPoli #AbLeg

This government... Grrrr

I bought this pin from Weird Neighbour (formerly Majesty & Friends in Edmonton), lost it at an NDP mixer, then bought two more as backups. I love a good enamel pin, especially one with a message and one that supports an AB business. Win win. www.shopweirdneighbour.com/shop/p/5fn6q...

Good public messaging around both the flu and Covid vaccines would be a great way to increase uptake and reduce waste, Danielle. Your government has done a piss poor job of encouraging Albertans to get vaccinated. (See also: our skyrocketing measles cases) www.ctvnews.ca/calgary/arti...

Wow. This must be how it feels to be a USian — lifesaving preventative treatment available but only if you can afford it. I wish the UCP shared Canadian values.

I hate this government so much. The way I understand this, my family would fall under Phase 4, we'd only be able to get vaccines if there are enough left over after the other phases get theirs, and we'd have to pay for our vaccines. What an absolutely garbage way to do this.

As an Alberta teacher, I'm trying *really* hard to understand why I'm not hearing those who I would expect to be advocating for public schools NOT talking about the 95% YES strike vote we just had. We're prepared to strike and *crickets*. Disappointing.

All of this. 👇

I remain worried that our brains have become so addled by social media, by misinformation, by a novel virus, by constant bombardment of questionable messaging. Are we collectively losing our ability to reason? To learn? To pay attention?

There it is. Book banning in AB. Trust #UCP to choose age-appropriate books? This guy can't even identify age-appropriate assessments & has K and Gr 1 kids in tears, calling themselves stupid because they can't write the number 1427. #abpoli #ableg #cndpoli torontosun.com/news/nationa...

This seal made my whole morning. Lol

🧡✊

The UCP is facing 8 investigations into corruption, plus no fewer than 3 major public sector union strikes (all of their own making). The affordability crisis looms, as does a trade war with the US. Wildfires & measles are raging. And the premier chose now to clear a path for a separation vote.

Spending millions of taxpayer dollars to save her party's bacon. This is not okay.

It's wild that the premier says outright that she's going to spend potentially millions in public funds to save her own skin and some Albertans think that's just fine. How many nurses, doctors, teachers and EAs could we have instead of a craven play for power? www.lakelandtoday.ca/alberta-news...

I haven't really seen much talk here about how Alberta teachers rejected mediator recommendations and are now moving to a strike authorization vote in less than two weeks. As an Alberta teacher, I wish it was getting at least some attention.

Just got the Alberta Republican robocall. Feeling super salty right about now, especially after Smith's garbage address earlier.

The fight we face is with President Trump, not Ottawa, and certainly not each other. Danielle Smith is dividing our country and picking fights in a moment that calls for national unity. Watch my response to the Premier's address: youtu.be/d4e8Xu5xtqU

#SupportPublicEducation Better is possible, folks. 🧡

A government under seven (7) different investigations for corruption just introduced a bill that would bring more corporate money into politics. This is not normal. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

Poilievre might still have a seat had he actually spent time in his riding connecting with voters like Fanjoy did instead of gallivanting all over Canada for the past 3 years.

I will never understand how this many Canadians could vote for the Verb the Noun Clown. 😒 This shouldn't be this close.

YES. 🎉 That is all.

This is my riding, and it's beyond depressing. We are the only riding in Canada without a Liberal Party candidate, due to "a clerical error with Elections Canada" (according to the Globe & Mail). But we sure do have choice when it comes to every flavour of Con there is. 🙄

Golden State Gavin getting ratioed and rightly so.

Everything going on with the tariffs and so much else is really awful, but this made me laugh.

“I got the analogy from someone many years ago. He said that being angry was as useful as wetting your pants; everyone can see it, but only you can feel it. The goal of separatism, however, is trying to make everyone around them feel it, too.” #ableg #abpoli #cdnpoli

This was a fascinating 3 minutes on #Maddow last night that I'm not sure anyone shared @acyn.bsky.social @atrupar.com #Tariffs #Cdnpoli #Trump #RonVara
