The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.

The previous government vandalised our mayoral elections, leading to a mayor winning today with just 25% of the vote. How can they represent us when 75% didn't choose them? Add your name to demand this government restore a fair voting system. action.electoral-reform.org.uk/page/138315/...

The Switch 2 preorder restrictions are bananas.

Some Switch 2 predictions: Metroid Prime 4 at launch, new 3D Mario, a Wind Waker/Twilight Princess remake. And segment from Microsoft talking up Call of Duty, maybe Avowed, possibly Starfield.

I’ve been trying pub quiz Wordle for a few days, but the sports questions always let me down: Quizzle 11/03/2025 4/5 in 26.0s 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟥 Play at quizzledaily.com

If you’ve spoken to me about podcasts at any point in the last two years then I’ve probably raved at you about My Perfect Console, but Daniel Pemberton has one of the most wierdly fascinating stories on the show so far. Check it out: podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/m...

And now for Tomorrow's Government

Media: "Elon Musk stirs debate by changing the logo of X to the swastika, a Hindu glyph symbolizing the sun, prosperity, and good luck."

today is not the day everyone saw Musk and MAGA for what they really are today is the day what commonly was known as Nazi or Hitler salute became "strange gesture", "roman salute", "gesture from the heart", "an emotional outburst", "a mistake" and "up to the viewer's opinion"

A week ago, I had dinner with a key author of the AI consultation. Not just dinner: I berated them for about 7 hours. In return, they gave me a horrid cough. Which is a fair revenge. Anyway, here's a thread about what I took away from the conversation. These are my inferences, not quotes.

Rainbow capitalism was always hollow but it's jarring to see two decades worth of progress pushing equality wiped away in a few weeks. www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2...

You might think that someone today recommending a piece of media made in the 90s is the same as someone in the 90s recommending a piece of media made in the 60s, but here’s why it isn’t: i can still be young please let me still be young

I couldn't find a comprehensive Star Wars viewing order by release date, so I made one: www.icloud.com/numbers/0njF...

This is one of the most well-written explanations of certain kinds of AI errors I’ve seen to date. (The whole article is great too.) www.theverge.com/c/24300623/a...

Sometimes Duolingo’s relentless positivity looks a little foolish.

Ayn Rand: oh my god... I see now how wrong I was.. Me with a time traveling xbox: they also made a second one where you can duel wield plasmids and guns but I gotta switch discs

When/how are we likely to find out how much of this is down to photo ID requirements?.

I'm probably just gonna write about this at some point, but I want to point out why Musk's antisemitism matters beyond its danger to Jews: It signals a next step in his extremism, as with most people who take this step. And it also means he's now willing to outwardly ally with far right extremists.

So, how do you find your old contacts in this place?
