SO THIS JUST HAPPENED My Laurel and Hardy book is Number One among New Releases in Comedy Movies at Amazon. Thanks to all who have ordered it.

NOW AVAILABLE - MY 37TH BOOK THE LAUREL & HARDY FILMS Here is the amazon link: www.amazon.com/dp/B0F9TVC6C...

My review of Harris Lentz's latest book of celeb obits, this one covering 2024 jln4151.wixsite.com/jlneibaur-wr...

MY NEXT BOOK I often like to write about lesser known performers. Two of my more successful books have been on Charley Chase and Andy Clyde. Now that the Laurel/Hardy project is done, I'm starting a book on the Wheeler and Woosley films. Contract already signed. Here I go again.

The first record I ever owned was The Twist by Chubby Checker. Chubby is still alive, still touring, and still sounds great. He should have been inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame decades ago. I am glad they didn't wait till he was gone. Congrats to all inductees!

BIRTHDAY SALUTE - Edgar Kennedy His career dated back to the Keystone silents and he appeared in films with Laurel and Hardy, The Marx Brothers and many others. He had his own series of short comedies that remained popular until his passing in 1948. Mr. Kennedy was born April 26, 1890

The Last Gangster is sustained by Eddie G's achingly powerful portrayal. The last shot (at the fade out) destroys me every time. #TCMParty

I have written books on both Jean Harlow and Clark Gable so I am glad to see the pre-code SECRET SIX on #TCM this morning. Wallace Beery, Johnny Mack Brown, Lewis Stone, and Ralph Bellamy also appear in this powerful cast. Beery drinks milk, calling it "a bottle of cow." #precode #TCMParty

Hazel Scott rocks! #IDoodIt #TCMParty

Sam Levene makes any movie more fun. #IDoodIt #TCMParty

Really digging all the Red Skelton comedies being shown on #TCM this month. Red was truly one of the most beloved comedians of the 20th century. I saw him perform live three times. Had a great time watching #ShipAhoy with Red, Eleanor Powell, and Bert Lahr. Here is a vintage newspaper ad. #TCMParty

Everytime I see the original 1933 KING KONG I am impressed at what an amazing cinematic achievement it was, and still remains over 90 years later.

WHY A LAUREL/HARDY BOOK? They had been my movie heroes since I was 5. Then in 1987 when my wife died, I left her hospital room sobbing and wandered into a waiting room to catch my breath. Laurel and Hardy were on the TV. It made me feel that I was going to survive. I had to write this book.

A VERY SAD FAREWELL For those of us who are a certain age, this is like losing an old pal. RIP Jay North

Doc Holliday: Say goodbye to me. Live every second. Live right on to the end. Live Wyatt. Live for me. Wyatt, if you were ever my friend - if ya ever had even the slightest of feelin' for me, leave now. Leave now... Please. Wyatt Earp: Thanks for always being there, Doc. RIP Val Kilmer

MOVIES I SAW FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MARCH listed alphabetically

IT'S DONE Been working on it since November 2023 and I have finally finished my 37th book THE LAUREL & HARDY FILMS - 500 pages, 200 photos. Now to format the photos, write captions, and proof the text. Hoping for a May release. Stan & Ollie mean a lot to me so this project was especially important.

BOOK PROJECTS UPCOMING Finishing my Laurel/Hardy book as well as Gary's and my book on Burt Reynolds. Both will be out this year. I have upcoming projects on Wheeler & Woolsey and Hopalong Cassidy. Gary and I have projects on the Rocky movies and Robt Redford. Contracts signed.

HERE IT IS - my completed metal kite drawing for a city art project. This will be mounted on a stand and placed in our downtown area along with other kites designed by other area artists. Some steps to the final piece in the first comment

Here is how far I have gotten in one day on my metal kite art project. Will continue to provide updates.

This summer my city will be placing, throughout the downtown area, metal kites designed by local artists. I am one of the artists chosen, so naturally my design will feature Stan and Ollie. I put the primer on and started the foundation sketch. I'll post updates as I go.

Feb 9, 1964, I tuned in when The Beatles were on the Ed Sullivan show. I had their early records, so I knew the music. Now I saw them, learned their names, and realized this was something much bigger. 61 yrs later they won another grammy. And their legacy and impact continues. They truly never left.

And now for the important news: www.nbcnewyork.com/long-island/...

THE BEATLES WON A GRAMMY IN 2025 I have been a Beatle fan for over 60 years. They will never stop proving they are the best. As John Lennon's son Sean stated when accepting the award on behalf of his dad's group, "Play the Beatles' music to your kids. The world can't afford to forget...."

BOOK PROJECTS UPCOMING Currently writing a book on The Laurel and Hardy Films, co-writing a book on Burt Reynolds' work. Upcoming solo projects on Wheeler and Woolsey, Hopalong Cassidy. Upcoming co-writing projects on the Rocky series and Robert Redford's films. Contracts all signed. Stay tuned!
