Probably going to be taking a break from bsky because I feel like hearing the exploits of labour and orange man are sapping my will to live like I'm Frodo with the one ring. I'm still going to keep up to date with news but YouTube channels where smart people dissect things sap my mana waaay less

I think the transphobic comment that upset me most came from the mother of a trans boy who proclaimed to be an ally but told me "I'm not a real trans" because I'm not hyper masculine and her son would never think of touching feminine things. That specifically upsets me because I was like that 1/4

My favourite deranged transphobic argument was "Well what if a trans woman was in the ladies when a cis woman goes into labour, how will they know how to deliver a baby??" I guess despite being AFAB I missed the training course where you learn to deliver a baby in a public toilet
