Yesterday I visited the fantastic exhibition ‘Secrets of the Thames: Mudlarking London’s Lost Treasures’ at London Museum Docklands. So many fascinating objects found by #mudlarks give a glimpse into London’s rich past. Love this wooden 3-pint tankard from the 1500-1600s! Cheers!🍺 #Archaeology

I have discovered a pile of Nigel droppings under my bed tonight.

Made in Saddleworth, Oldham and Manchester: Annie Kenney (1879-1953), born in Springhead, started working in cotton mills at age 10 and became a leading suffragette in the Women's Social and Political Union. She was jailed 13 times and repeatedly force-fed. 1/9

The Melsonby hoard, or about 1-2% of it, is currently on display at the entrance of the Yorkshire Museum for fundraising to purchase the find. Stunning late Iron Age metalwork deposit, dominated by horse & vehicle fittings. Visited on Tuesday, & blown away by it! #FindsFriday 1/
