Had my first healthcare worker refuse to mask for me. My chart is documented that I’m immune compromised & require staff to mask. The facility had a policy that if asked, staff will wear. I was told “no I need to breathe to do my job”. I stood firm & said I’m high risk and masks are required 🧵

Sigh. Just spoke with my mom on the phone at her LTC facility. She sounds awful. Spoke to one of the LTC nurses, and they've done a c*vid pcr test on her. If it's positive, it's the 4th time she's been infected at the facility. This is awful.😢🤬

Dr. Bonnie Henry just said that we catch H5N1 by rubbing it into our eyes or from inhaling the virus, but then said the only thing we need to do to prevent catching it and other viruses is to wash our hands. 🤦‍♂️ She never mentioned wearing N95s and the like. #H5N1 #MASKS
