Reframing hospice not as just the last stop or, worse, giving up, Deanna Cotten returns to the podcast with her husband to tell us all—from in-patient hospice care—about the joy of freeing her friends and family to just "love on her." ❣️

New #shoegaze song out next week

Living each day with gratitude comes from awareness

Needs to be said. The ad agency world had a bit of this for awhile and it was never not performative bullshit.

This week's episode is bittersweet, as Cody and I learned that Rachel, a guest of the show last year, passed away, and we spend a few moments in remembrance of our good friend. Rachel was full of life, laughter, and caring, and we're both deeply grateful we had the chance to know her. 💕🥲

Just because we look away from death doesn’t mean it isn’t there. It’s…uh…it’s always there.

Suzanne B. O'Brien's new book "The Good Death" should be on everyone's bookshelf. She describes it as "What To Expect When You're Expecting"...but for the other end of life. 💕🕺 youtu.be/npAF6STygjo?... www.thegooddeathbook.com #hospice #podcast

The Duolingo “Your Gonna Lose Your Streak” notification is nailing it.

MTG spouting hateful nonsense that no federal employee is valid, just for the sound bite spotlight. Despicable opportunism.

Incredibly grateful to @coloradopublic.bsky.social for the chance to talk with the wonderful Chandra Thomas Whitfield for an upcoming episode of Aging Matters. Cody and Chandra talked about our podcast Dying To Tell You and showcased several of our guests. Can't wait for it to air! 🙏 ♥️

Tomorrow is another episode of The Caring Perspective (please subscribe at www.youtube.com/@DttYpod ), this time with Idaho counselor and motorcycle chaplain (!) Garrett Price. Wonderful stories about unconditional regard and being a non-judgmental presence for someone at the end of life.

How can we make even small—even difficult—moments meaningful? #podcast #interview

And I am an ally. If you are too, let the world know.

i don't know who needs to hear this but please remember it's not a toyotasprint it's a toyotathon

If you could choose how you die, what would you want? I think I'd want it to be outdoors—in nature, sun on my face, crisp gentle breeze blowing. I've often thought Lake Isabelle here in Colorado is where I'd want my ashes scattered. But I guess I could see spending my last moments there too.

None of us can choose to not die. But if we're lucky, we get to choose how we die. And if we're really, really lucky, others will help us make that final wish a reality. #hospice

Embracing death and making a difference, a story from the caregiver's perspective.

“…what they call DEI is what we call our values. We identify and uplift artists who have been historically marginalized, and we materially support their ability to create their world-changing work, full stop.”

Full interview with Dr. John Mulder as he shares two brief but powerful stories from his experience caring for so many at the end of their lives. Worth a watch and listen! #hospice www.youtube.com/watch?v=PXQq...
