My kid sent me this and I’m WHEEZING.

Received two vaccines yesterday. Tetanus and a live MMR vaccine because I don't recall having one previously: 1. born < 1970 2. no memory of infection by measles et al. 3. possible 21 days quarantine by the Newfoundland public health folks in the event of a Summer Games measles breakout Good so far

Well done NYC. Locally elected socialists tend to focus on facilitating mutual aid networks and building survival, especially in challenging state and federal environments. If there was ever a time for locally elected socialist governments in the US, it is now.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but Kin's Fruit Markets have BC Cherries for sale @ $3.99/lb. They're very tasty.

That's uhhhhh a pretty big change

It’s a good thing Congress isn’t alive to see this

Wait until the US learns that Iran isn't in Canada, Panama or Greenland.

In my “doing pool Pilates to soothe my Pilates aches” era.

Aww, those cute elder gen. z folks are going around impressing the younger folk that they're older than Google. Try more than 2x as old as Google.

Tradwives bringing back finger paint day at pre-school vibes.

"Since her death in 1979, the woman who discovered what the universe is made of has not so much as received a memorial plaque. Her newspaper obituaries do not mention her greatest discovery. LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT CECILIA PAYNE:" #WomenInScience #WomenInSTEM #History 1/8

I guess the name "Slurm" was already taken by a soda.

Really glad to have removed the US from all travel plans for the foreseeable future. The United States has decided too much "law" was getting in the way of "justice." Punishment and death for everyone! www.whitehouse.gov/presidential...

Apologies for the radical pinko commie talk, but I too think everyone in the world deserves health care.

The Silicon Valley fascists genuinely think that technology (i.e., cool robots and spaceships) has nothing to do with science (i.e., girls filling out spreadsheets wokely). I am not being sarcastic. I know that sounds insane. But that's really what they think.

It amazes me how these people will call Elon a visionary for raising concerns over the Earth being swallowed by the Sun in 7.5 billion years but climate change making our planet inhospitable in 100 years is too far out to care.

New month, new pfp. A return of my first webcam selfie from the mid-90s (Connectix QuickCam).

It's a tad warm today.

Three weeks since my angry leg nerves decided they had enough and decided to climb onboard again. Still no pain or discomfort. Another 6-10K run today and I think it's safe to start pushing now.

I wish journalists would stop framing political news as wins or losses for politicians or political parties. It’s an abrogation of our mission. Why do we keep doing this? Is the spending bill a win or loss for the American people? Who does it help? Who does it hurt? Is it sound policy? Fiscally?

Found a baby songbird? Here's a newly updated chart!

"Anyone, even those in poverty, can use multiple slurp juices on a single ape."

All the Pedro Pascal.

My leg nerves are somewhat happy since I added the pool and cycling to my daily routine. I'm scared I may have inadvertently fallen in to training for a triathlon once I get back into shape. I could probably be a better cyclist if i'd had more than 5 rides on a bike in the last 30 years.

Hate and discrimination have no place in BC and equality isn’t up for negotiation. Everyone deserves to live in safety, free to be who they are. And we will always defend these rights.

"High Risk" is relative...

every gender transition is a statement in favor of human possibility and freedom and i’m tired of hearing it talked about like it’s some kind of disease

I wish I knew why my home has smelled like cheap 1980s hair gel the past few days.

And now to work back to fitness...

Hear me out. No more interviews of the weird pronatalist couple. Interview the neighborhood dads. The guy who mows the lawn of an elderly neighbor. The people who live self-sacrificial lives that make other people’s lives better. Normalize that. A crisis in masculinity? Highlight this man.

Some pool time and a spin class tomorrow, because why not? I need to break the urge to go for a run while my angry leg decides if it is healed or not.

Today is the last day my 56 year-old ass can sit on conference calls while reading about the suck in the world. At least Vancouver voted in the best choices for councillor in yesterday's city by-election. 57 is going to bring so much more suck. Happy birthday-eve to me. Bring it on.

Have the US state p̷a̷r̷a̷s̷i̷t̷e̷s̷ programs stopped planning to siphon Canadian pharma supply yet?
