Upside: it’s not capable of replacing anyone. AI companies are just selling the dream of replacing humans in order to suck up as much investment as possible before the bubble bursts. Downside: so many middle managers are going to fall for the hype and lay people off before learning that lesson.

Spent today letting YouTube play, and it found documentaries about the Amish. "Technology is a distraction at best and does active harm/drives us apart at worst, so we're careful about what kinds we let into our lives," they say. I mean. Shame about everything else, but. Stopped clock, I guess.
