I’ll probably think about this exhibit for the rest of my life. I knew about Ai Weiwei only as “the dissident Chinese artist” who was imprisoned by Chinese authorities. Which is totally notable on its own. But oh man, is he a genius. So much more than a subversive reported on by mainstream media.

Earlier this month, a circuit court judge ruled that Lake Oswego's restrictions on public access to the lake violated state law. In a passionate public hearing last night, the City Council decided it will not appeal that court ruling but it has directed the city manager to implement safety measures.
