Republicans are killing wind and solar while giving new tax breaks for coal. Our utility bills will go up, pollution will increase, and our climate will be compromised. Now is the time to make your voices heard.

Chris Murphy: "Trump & the Republicans are trying to engineer the most massive transfer of wealth from the poor & middle class to the wealthy in history of the country...that's super unpopular. So how do you pass it? You can only pass it if you also destroy democracy & the means of accountability"

They’re lying about Medicaid cuts. They’re lying about the deficit increase. They’re lying about what they accomplished in Iran. They lie about everything. It is just a nonstop torrent of lies intended to flood the zone with propaganda.

They were supposed to be deporting “gang members” and “criminals.” So far, they have kidnapped people working their day jobs and folks lawfully showing up for their immigration court appearances… It was always a lie.

"We will get what we get. But even if we get that best-case result, the manner in which the administration has conducted itself is dangerous. Either the president or the senior-most officer in the United States military lied to the American public."

Statement from Arms Control Association: "...Trump's decision to launch strikes against another sovereign country without authorization for the use of such force by Congress, which is mandated by the Constitution, is an egregious violation of the rule of domestic law."

Trump and Netanyahu just made the world a lot more dangerous, especially for Jews, Muslims and Americans.

Four Democratic members of Congress from Illinois, Jesús “Chuy” García, Danny Davis, Delia Ramirez, and Jonathan Jackson, were denied entry to an ICE facility in Broadview, just outside Chicago, despite federal policy allowing them access without prior notice.

So unemployment up. Jobless claims up. Inflation up. GDP down. Dollar plummeting. More wars abroad. Soldiers on the streets at home. By every objective metric, this administration is a disaster.

As someone who has been threatened for serving in government, the political violence in Minnesota this weekend—and the reaction to it—has been weighing heavily on me. I hope you'll take the time to read my reflections. wiczipedia.substack.com/p/on-politic...

Former U.S. Amb. to Ukraine Bridget Brink has jumped into the Democratic primary for Michigan's 7th Congressional District. Brink left her post in protest of Trump’s policies in April and is now looking to unseat GOP Rep. Tom Barrett. "It's important to fight for democracy at home," she tells NYT.

Now that we’ve seen the full Senate text, we can say for certain: either the House or the Senate version would be the largest transfer of wealth from the poor to the rich in a single law in history. Each have the largest Medicaid and largest SNAP cuts ever. And each give huge tax cuts to the rich.

I don’t think Bannon is wrong here. It seems like Trump has given Netanyahu a blank check, then Israel moves unilaterally, Trump and Republicans say we must support whatever they choose to do, so Netanyahu is now dictating US foreign policy while Marco Rubio is irrelevant.

He has to pay $2.3M.

ICE is attempting to deport an Atlanta-based Spanish-language reporter from El Salvador who has been covering their immigration abductions. He has legal work authorization and a path to a green card. This is pretty obviously an assault on the free press. www.ajc.com/news/2025/06...

My law firm is currently litigating 55 voting and election cases in 24 states. Two points: This is a very large caseload for this point in the election cycle. It is more evenly spread across states than usual which reflects the creep of voter suppression laws into even safe GOP states.

hey, remember when Jared Kushner brought peace to the Middle East? me neither

🚨BREAKING: A federal judge issued a sweeping order blocking President Donald Trump’s unprecedented seizure of California’s National Guard, calling the move illegal and a “dangerous precedent. www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...

Schiff: "One thing that got lost in the horrendous treatment of Alex Padilla today was what Kristi Noem said at that press conference in saying it was necessary to have these troops there to 'liberate the city from the socialists' ... the fact they would use the military that was is unconscionable."

Sen. Murphy: "It's becoming clear that the main justification seems to be that Sen. Padilla was showing some level of disrespect. The first comments from our Republican colleagues, if you're an American who cares about free speech, are really concerning."

wow I wonder if the cops who lied about the sitting senator even though everything they did was on tape are also being less than honest about the presence of violent agitators at the protests in los angeles. they might even not have told the entire truth about other protests

Double.

6/14 is #NoKings & #FlagDay let's also make it #ReclaimOurFlag Day Will you will be flying an American flag to help RECLAIM our 🇺🇸 from Trump and the insurrectionists? We think it’s time to #ReclaimOurFlag as we protest American fascism. @hcrichardson.bsky.social

According to the authoritarian wannabe dictator who deployed these men, “LA is burning”. It’s not. He's the one rubbing two sticks together to try start a fire. Don't believe the narrative. Remain clear-eyed and share the truth. 🌸🌺🌻 ❤️&🙏🏼 for LA This moment of ☮️ by 🎥 @saroal on TT

NEW: A data broker owned by the country’s major airlines, including Delta, American Airlines, and United, collected US travelers’ domestic flight records, sold access to them to Customs and Border Protection (CBP). www.wired.com/story/airlin...

this is very very simple

“He is declaring utterly bogus emergencies for the sake of trying to expand his power, undermine the Constitution and destroy civil liberties”

At Fort Bragg, Donald Trump crossed a dangerous line. Where are the generals who should be speaking up in defense of the military's rules and traditions, asks @RadioFreeTom?

House and Senate leaders should demand resignations from both Major General Pat Work, the 82nd Airborne Division commander, and Colonel Chad Mixon, the Fort Bragg garrison commander. This was possibly the most partisan speech ever delivered by a commander-in-chief to U.S. troops.

This is the little-noticed memo that could allow military force on American streets, even without a governor’s request. @samsteindc.bsky.social and @rgoodlaw.bsky.social break it down.

It is a disgrace that the Department of Defense continues to post partisan political messages on social media and a disgrace that the DHS Secretary is making political statements about elections from the Oval Office. They piss on this country’s traditions daily. bsky.app/profile/atru...

One apparent reason why GOP legislators are getting cold feet about proof of citizenship laws for voter registration: They’re worried about disenfranchising their own voters, advocates say. www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...

By the way a military parade when we’re not celebrating a war victory is something a dude who never served would do.

We don’t need to back off the American Gestapo and we don’t need to respect its agents. People exercising state violence are not entitled to anonymity. Nor are the people directing the state violence.

"Those are rookie numbers..." Gotta get those numbers DOWN.

Happy 105th Birthday to the Department of Labor's, Women's Bureau! Deleting text from a website and taking pictures off a few walls will never erase the women of the bureau's achievements and contributions. Here's to your 105th and we're already looking forward to your 106th! 🎉🥳🎈
