Do you ever look at a knitting pattern, & the picture makes you itch? You just know that whatever yarn they used is the itchiest thing ever, and you don't even want to try a different one. There's no saving it. Those socks will itch. That sweater is going to be a straightjacket of nettles.

Good morning to everyone except my neighbor’s stupid Bernadoodle. He needs everyone to know that he’s here, he can bark, and well, he can bark.

Having a Humanities degree mostly just means that I'm super judgy of couples who dress up as Grant Wood's "American Gothic" for Halloween. She. Is. His. Daughter.

Just put in my birth year as 1076, and when the website flagged it, I had a stare at it a really long time before I figured out what was wrong. Listen, I just FEEL ancient.

For 225 years, the Library of Congress has collected America’s stories and kept Congress informed. The American Library Association stands with America’s library.

Refusing to be left behind!

READ. THE. SUBHEAD.

Reminder to everyone who loves #Kidslit that we're hosting a huge virtual reading tomorrow! Register for one session or both, drop in when you've got a moment or stay all day. It will be a chance to celebrate the power of books!

A Chicago Pope implies the existence of an MLA Pope and APA Pope

This man is an absolute icon.

In light of my earlier sad post, please allow me to recommend: The Lincoln Lawyer series on Netflix. Trae Crowder's "Trash Daddy" comedy special. Thunderbolts* I laughed so hard during Thunderbolts* that I was almost crying into my popcorn.

I used to come to social media to make jokes, talk about a book I liked, a movie. Now that I'm just mad and sad all the time, and so is everyone else, I look at social media and get even angrier because they took our fun away.

Nurse Thompson, this demeans us both.
