I really like going to bed in a made bed. So as an adult, I enjoy making the bed in the morning because morning-me anticipates how nice it will be when bedtime-me tucks in. Bedtime-me doesn’t need perfect, just made. This thinking-ahead thing seems core to being an adult. Or government.
