I'm very sad and frustrated. I'm sad because one of my fellow teachers died on Monday. When notifying students of her passing, the first question from a 1st grader was, "did she die from a gun violence crime?" The 1st question! What the heck are we doing in this country? Or really not doing!!

I'm gonna keep writing this... Teachers are not in charge of every aspect of student learning. Parents need to put their tech down, demand that their children do the same. If you want your kid to learn to do daily living things, teach them. Engage with them. Teach them to love learning.

Back at it. Atleast my phone still recognizes me with it on. I will be wearing a better one tomorrow. Kids and staff out in my classroom. We are ok missing one adult but 2 or more and might as well give up! I do not want myself or multiple medical needs dad getting whatever it is!! Likely Noro.

I am continually asked why teachers are leaving the classroom. Because they are mentally & physically exhausted & have decided they don't want to live in an abusive relationship anymore. We are repeatedly told there are replacements for us if we are not happy and don't like the working conditions.

GOP friends. Why is trump planning to cut Medicaid?Who benefits most from Medicaid? Kids. Kids w/o insurance. Kids w/o families, kids taken from their families, kids from poor families. Kids should not be punished for parents choices. If we are pro life, then we should be pro life from pre birth-18.

Because we know teachers only work 8-2, please explain why I just spent 3 hours of my free time making a visual schedule and token board for one of my kiddos. Somehow, yesterday it disappeared. Tomorrow, he will have a brand new one.
